Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
EyE WiLL’s musical journey is a testament to hard work, dedication, and breaking barriers. From managing Young Society, a collective of talented artists, to making history as the first Black American Hip-Hop artist to perform on a main float during the University of Florida’s Homecoming Parade—three years in a row—EyE WiLL’s impact in the music scene is undeniable.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been anything but smooth. Navigating the industry meant encountering people who prioritized profit over integrity—promoters, managers, and club owners who saw EyE WiLL as nothing more than a financial opportunity rather than an artist with vision and purpose. Betrayal and broken promises became recurring challenges, but instead of allowing them to be setbacks, EyE WiLL turned them into lessons.

Each obstacle became fuel, pushing him to take control of his creative destiny. Rather than relying on others to open doors, he built his own. The hardships only strengthened his resolve, making him more strategic, self-sufficient, and determined to create on his own terms. Through it all, EyE WiLL remained focused on his craft, proving that true passion and perseverance can overcome any roadblock.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One thing that people who know me may not realize is that I still get nervous before performing. I’m talking sweat under my arms, lazy eye running kind of nervous. No matter how many times I’ve rocked a stage—whether in front of massive crowds or in the most intimate settings—that feeling never fully goes away.

It’s not fear; it’s energy. It’s the weight of wanting to give my all, to connect, to leave something unforgettable with every performance. That nervousness? It’s just a reminder that I still care, that every moment matters, and that the passion is still alive.
