Today we’d like to introduce you to Shantal Powers.
Hi Shantal, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Shantal Powers, owner of MooVille Bakery & More. MooVille began with a simple love for baking and making people smile. What started as baking for family and friends slowly grew through word of mouth and support from my community into what MooVille is becoming today.
One of my greatest inspirations is my late grandmother, Carlene Spencer. In honor of my grandma, I named my cow after her “Carla Bell” who is now the face of my brand. She was a loving and strong woman who believed in family and bringing people together, and I try to carry those same values into my business every day. Having her represented in my logo keeps me grounded and reminds me why I started.
MooVille Bakery is built around family, love, and creativity. I enjoy working closely with my customers to bring their ideas to life and create desserts that help celebrate special moments and memories.
I am still growing and learning on this journey, but I am grateful for every opportunity and every customer who has supported MooVille along the way. My vision is to continue growing MooVille into something special that brings joy to families and communities for years to come.
At the heart of MooVille is a simple idea when you bake with love and purpose, you create more than desserts… you create memories that last a lifetime.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a completely smooth road, especially since we are still in the early stages of building MooVille. Ive had to grow the business carefully, saving and purchasing equipment little by little without taking out a business loan. That meant moving slower at times, but it also helped me build a strong foundation step by step.
There have been moments when it felt like I was working hard but not really seeing much change. Along the way, I’ve realized that small improvements often go unnoticed by the owner, but they still make a major impact. Even when progress feels slow, those small steps forward are helping MooVille grow.
This journey has taught me patience and faith in the process. Just because you can’t always see the difference right away doesn’t mean growth isn’t happening. Those small changes remind me that I’m moving in the right direction and building something that will last.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the owner of MooVille Bakery & More, where I create custom desserts and specialty treats designed to celebrate life’s special moments. Although I selected Business Professional as my field and have worked in corporate America for over 24+years with major banking institutions, my true passion has always been art. Baking allowed me to combine both worlds the professionalism and structure of business with the creativity and expression of art.
At MooVille, I create gourmet ice cream, smoothies, cookies, party treats, over 20 different flavors of pound cakes, and other pastries and specialty treats, but I am especially known for my custom decorative cake artwork. Whether it’s a round cake, heart-shaped cake, sheet cake, or a detailed 3D over-the-top design, I enjoy turning ideas into edible art. I’ve even created video cakes voice-activated cakes which bring a fun and unique experience to celebrations.
What sets me apart is that I design with both creativity and care. I work closely with my customers to bring their vision to life while respecting their budget. I don’t pressure customers, but creatively my mind naturally aims high in the craft so I can produce something truly special. I believe desserts should be beautiful and taste amazing because everyone deserves both.
What I’m most proud of is being able to turn my passion for art into something people can see, taste, and remember. One of my proudest moments was having the opportunity to create a cake honoring the late Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday celebration at a Jaguar-sponsored event, which was a successful and meaningful experience for me as a baker and artist.
Through MooVille Bakery & More, I continue to grow and push my creativity, always striving to create desserts that are not only visually stunning but also made with heart and purpose.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is family, support, and giving back whenever I can. Family is the foundation behind everything I do, and their encouragement has helped me stay motivated and continue growing MooVille even during challenging times. The love and support I receive from my family and community remind me that what I’m building is bigger than just a business.
Giving back is also very important to me because I believe that when you are blessed with a gift or opportunity, you should use it to help others when you can. Whether it’s supporting community events, helping families celebrate special moments, or contributing in small ways, it means a lot to me to know that MooVille can make a positive difference.
To me, MooVille is not just about desserts it’s about bringing people together, creating joy, and sharing love through what I do.
