Today we’d like to introduce you to Patryce Artis.
Hi Patryce, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, I’m Patryce! I am a UCF Alumni, Community Director, and Notary Public. I studied Marketing at UCF and worked as a Sales and Marketing Assistant for a Catering Company. This was funny because I swore that I would never work in sales. Little did I know I would grow to love it and be great at it! I started as a leasing agent in 2017 and never looked back. I made a sale during my first week working there; the rest was history. I was quickly promoted to Leasing and Sales Director and allowed to lease up a brand-new luxury apartment community in Orlando. It was a huge success. I was awarded Leasing Specialist of the year! Three years and two awards later, I am now the Community Director at a Luxury Community in Jacksonville. I owe my success to the lord! I am so grateful my parents raised me in church. It helped shape me into the wonderful woman I am today!
Would it have been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of my challenges were learning to live at my own pace and not trying to meet the world’s expectations. Good things take time and should be timely. I’ve also learned to set goals and when you make promises to yourself, keep them. When you want to do something or go somewhere, do it! Sometimes you have to do it alone, and nothing is wrong with that. Never compromise, and stay true to your morals and yourself!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I love to travel in my free time. So far, I’ve explored more than six countries. My most recent adventure was my dream trip to Greece! My obsession with travel started after I went on a study-abroad trip to New Zealand during my first year of college. It was an eye-opening experience that left me with a strong desire to see the world. Every year I make a goal to travel to two and more countries, and I am proud to say that I achieve this goal every year!
