Today we’d like to introduce you to Katarina Forster.
Hi Katarina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my journey in aesthetics with a deep passion for understanding the skin beyond the surface. Early on, I was drawn to acne correction and quickly realized that real, lasting results do not come from quick fixes, but from addressing the root cause. That led me to expand my knowledge into gut health, hormones, and lifestyle and how everything internal reflects on the skin.
As I grew in the industry, I naturally stepped into leadership: roles creating treatment protocols, training estheticians, and helping build out the skincare side of the businesses I worked in. Being behind the scenes gave me a deeper understanding of what it takes to create real results for clients, while also building a successful and sustainable aesthetics business. At the same time, it gave me clarity that I did not align with the fast paced, in-and-out spa model, and wanted to create something more intentional.
That is what led me to build Your Honest Glow, a space rooted in education, results, and honesty. I wanted to create an environment where clients feel cared for and understood, and where treatments go beyond the surface to truly support the skin from within.
Since then, my work has expanded far beyond the treatment room. I now work with clients both in person and virtually, create educational content, and support other estheticians and businesses through training and program development. I also host my podcast ,Unwritten Beauty Talks, where I have real conversations about skin, wellness, and entrepreneurship.
Everything I have built has been rooted in the belief that we may not be able to control everything, stress hormones, or life itself, but we can support our skin to look and feel its best. This journey has been about creating something intentional not only for my clients, but for the industry as a whole, and I am continuing to grow and evolve every step of the way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was navigating jealousy within the industry. I truly love what I do, and over the years I’ve built the most incredible, loyal clientele that I’m so grateful for. But that growth and connection also came with its own challenges. At one point, I was let go from a corporate med spa I genuinely loved working at, and it ultimately came down to jealousy.
Another major challenge was staying true to my values. I’ve always believed in only offering treatments and products that I genuinely use on myself and believe in, not just selling something for the sake of profit. I worked in environments that didn’t put people first, where the focus was more on money than on real results and client care, and that was incredibly challenging for me.
Those experiences pushed me to create something more aligned, where integrity comes first, results are honest, and every treatment is something I truly stand behind. It wasn’t easy, but it shaped everything I’ve built today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Master Aesthetician and the founder of Your Honest Glow, where I focus on corrective, results driven skincare that supports the skin from the inside out. My work goes far beyond a traditional facial. I specialize in a blend of corrective and relaxation based treatments, where we address concerns like acne, aging, pigmentation, and fine lines while also supporting the nervous system.
Every treatment is intentional and fully customized. I combine advanced corrective techniques with hands on modalities like lymphatic drainage, sculpting, gua sha, and facial cupping. This allows me to not only create visible skin results but also help clients feel calm, reset, and reconnected. I believe that when the body is regulated, the skin responds better, so that mind skin connection is at the core of everything I do.
I’m known for my hands on approach and the experience I create. Clients often leave feeling lighter, more sculpted, and truly taken care of, not just treated. It is never just about the skin on the surface, it is about what is happening internally as well.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients and the community around my brand. I have always stayed committed to integrity, only offering treatments and products that I truly believe in and use on myself.
What sets me apart is that I don’t follow trends or focus on selling for the sake of it. I focus on real results, education, and long term skin health. Every service I offer is rooted in intention, and my goal is always to help my clients understand their skin, heal it, and feel confident in it.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing the transformation in my clients, not just in their skin but in how they feel in their own bodies. I love creating a space where people can truly relax, reset, and feel seen. Being able to combine my passion for corrective skincare with hands-on treatments that calm the nervous system brings me so much joy.
I also love spending time outdoors, hiking and biking, and getting lost in a good book. Staying active and connected to nature helps me recharge and inspires the way I work with my clients.
Ultimately, what makes me happiest is doing work I love, helping people feel their best, and knowing I am making a meaningful impact in their lives.
