Hi Kareece, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
As female veterans, we are always taught and trained to remain professional, unified, and uniform. We have a uniform regulation that we have to abide by. So, when I received an honorable discharge, I knew I wanted to assist my fellow veterans through community service. Thus, I started my own cosmetics company to show the beauty in our female veterans and that it is okay to look and feel beautiful in and outside of uniform.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
COVID did slow things down a bit, and starting a second business can be a struggle, especially when deciding what products to sell and where to acquire the products from. But everything happens for a reason, and I am glad to have struggles and learn from them.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a female veteran, a criminal justice graduate, and a forensic science graduate student. I am currently employed at a local law enforcement agency, and I am the owner of two businesses. I take great pride in volunteering and being a member of several prestigious organizations in Jacksonville. I am most proud of overcoming my fears and becoming a business owner. I have pondered it for a long time, and am pleased with my decision.

What matters to me the most is my family. They have always been supportive and encouraging of the ideas and goals I have accomplished. I am forever grateful for their love, advice, sacrifice, and support. They truly have been a big part of my success and accomplishments.
