Hi Chantel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My story began with the pregnancy of my son, Enso.
At the time of becoming pregnant, I was working in the hospitality industry and my husband and I agreed it was best if I left my job and stood home full time with our newborn. I began my journey into natural and holistic practices in the hopes of raising my son to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
My passion for natural living eventually turned into a blog which then eventually turned into a full-blown career. Today, I create creative, wellness-focused content for some of the industry’s largest brands as a full-time entrepreneur.
It’s truly insane to think back on where I started and hope to inspire others to go after your passions even if you have no idea what you’re doing in the beginning!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Becoming an entrepreneur is definitely no joke and totally not for everyone. I’ve learned a ton throughout my journey and am still doing so!
I think one of the things I struggled with most, in the beginning, was imposter syndrome. Understanding the value and uniqueness you bring to the table is so important – regardless of what everyone is doing! I’ve learned to focus on my strengths and quiet that voice of self-doubt. So far it’s been working great.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I think what separates me from others is my down-to-earth approach and relatability. I now specialize in high-quality photography, videography, and creative content but I didn’t always know what I was doing! Encouraging others to believe they too can make a living doing what they love is what I strive to be known for.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
That I’m 100% self-taught! I think most people assume I have a degree in business or the arts but I don’t. Everything I’ve learned up to this point required a lot of determination, consistency, and self-discipline.
My husband is also my business partner so it helps to be married to another passionate creative supporting my endeavors.
