Hi Carlos, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into the world of Home services and Commercial installations began with a deep passion for technology and creating immersive experiences. From a young age, I was fascinated by sound systems, quality visuals, leds and lighting, and how the right setup could transform a simple room into a full entertainment experience.
I started by helping friends and family set up their sound systems, which quickly grew into a small side business. i started to pay more attention to the Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, entertainment areas in general around Jacksonville, and noticed that they all had 1 thing in common. The ambiance was NOT their 1st priority. Sound systems were often neglected and only put together to barely work. We started to reach out to some of these businesses and some of them became our clients. resulting in a HUGE increase in revenue for them only after changing Sound and/or Lighting. It was clear that there was a market for not just the equipment, but for personalized installation and advice to create the perfect experience for each home or business. This was the seed for what would eventually become CDQ PRO.
The business started modestly, but over time, I honed my skills, expanded my offerings, and built strong relationships with customers who valued quality service and expert advice. Today, CDQ PRO is focused on providing complete solutions, we go from design all the way to reality.
The key to getting where I am today has been a commitment to customer satisfaction, staying up to date with the latest technology trends, and always delivering the best possible service. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to continue growing and evolving with the industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any business, the road has definitely had its bumps. Starting and growing CDQ PRO came with its fair share of challenges, one of the biggest hurdles was establishing credibility in a highly competitive industry. When you’re just starting out, it can be difficult to build trust with clients, especially when you’re competing against larger, well-established companies.
Another challenge was the constant evolution of technology. The service industry moves fast, with new products, features, and trends emerging regularly. Staying ahead of the curve required a lot of time spent researching, learning, and investing in the latest equipment, which could be overwhelming at times. But I knew it was essential to stay current to offer my clients the best possible solutions.
Additionally, scaling the business was a learning curve. As demand for CDQ PRO’s services grew, I had to figure out how to balance providing personalized service while also managing the increasing workload. There were times when I had to juggle everything from marketing to installations to customer service, all on my own, which could be exhausting.
However, every challenge taught me something valuable, and overcoming them only strengthened my business. Today, those early struggles have helped shape CDQ PRO into a trusted provider in the industry, and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made.

What sets us apart is our personalized approach. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Each home and client is different, so we take the time to understand their vision, lifestyle, and space before recommending anything. Our goal is to create a seamless, stress-free experience for our clients, handling everything from start to finish with expertise and care.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the level of trust we’ve built with our clients over the years. Many of our clients come to us through word-of-mouth referrals, which speaks volumes about the quality of our work and the relationships we’ve cultivated.
I mostly realized that if i dont have fun doing it i dont want to keep doing it. CDQ PRO makes me happy everytime there is a new project because we are able to play with our toys (tools). Everytime we listen to a sound system or we turn on a custom led lighting project. that Amazing feeling never gets old. Like watching disneyland fireworks.
As we grow and expand we are taking on new experiences and making jacksonville more beautiful one Project at a time!
