We’re looking forward to introducing you to Rachel Kelly. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Rachel, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Every day, I focus on faith, creativity, and purpose. I start with prayer and reflection — It helps clear my mind and fuels my soul. From there, I head into the studio to paint, often drawing inspiration from nature, personal experiences, or causes I’m passionate about like preservation, endangered species awareness or anti-trafficking work.
I focus on three daily wins: something that strengthens my spirit, challenges my mind, and supports my body. I find praying, painting, getting out in nature, and practicing mindfulness helps me live a happier and more fulfilling life. I also spend time connecting with others — whether I’m sharing uplifting messages online or supporting nonprofits through my art and social projects.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Rachel Kelly, an artist based in Amelia Island, FL, and founder of Rachel Kelly Art. Inspired by nature and advocacy, my work is rooted in purpose using art as a tool for healing, inspiring hope and positive change.
My art isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a way to raise awareness for important issues.
In 2021, I left a career in marketing to pursue art full-time and built my business from scratch. Today, you can find my paintings on display at Kismet Coffee, an awesome local coffee shop. I also do live painting at weddings and events. You can check out my original artwork on my website, www.rachelkellyart.com.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A recent health battle reshaped how I see the world. Facing a life-threatening illness reminded me how fragile life is and how important faith and resilience are in the midst of anguish. It deepened my gratitude for everyday moments and most importantly reminded me it’s not about me — it’s about loving God and loving people. It reinforced my mission to use my art to inspire hope, spread love, and remind others that even in our darkest times, there is always light and strength to be found.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there were definitely times I almost gave up—especially when I left my steady marketing job to pursue art full-time. The uncertainty, financial pressure, and self-doubt were overwhelming. But my faith, love for art, and belief in my mission kept me going. I reminded myself that growth isn’t always easy, and that every step forward counts, no matter how small. Shifting my mindset taught me resilience, humility, and empathy—lessons that success could never give.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to using my art to shedding light on important causes such as anti-human trafficking, preservation and endangered species awareness. I believe art can inspire change, spread light, and give a voice to the voiceless. This mission drives everything I do. For me, this work goes beyond painting—it’s about making a positive impact.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. Giving my best isn’t about recognition—it’s about staying true to my values and honoring the deeper “why” behind what I do. I believe art is more than something to look at—it’s an opportunity to spread healing, hope, and inspire change. Even without praise, I know I’m creating with faith, love, and good intention. Some of the most meaningful impact happens quietly— doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
