Born and raised in Queens, New York, Tina Arniotis spent over 40 years immersed in the fast-paced energy and nightlife of NYC. In 2021, she traded city lights for sunshine, relocating to Jacksonville, Florida to be closer to her youngest brother. But slowing down? That was never really her style.
Craving the vibrant nightlife she’d always known, Tina set out to find a spark of New York excitement in her new surroundings—and she found it in the most unexpected way. One night, she walked into a local Jacksonville bar and was instantly transported: the sounds of chips clinking, cards shuffling, and players calling out “Hit! Stay! Double!” filled the air. It felt like a slice of Vegas right in Florida.
As she approached the table, ready to play, she was met with a surprise—no cash allowed. Instead, the game was purely for entertainment, with players receiving chips based on their bar tab. Intrigued by the concept and drawn to the electric atmosphere, Tina quickly became a regular, showing up night after night, captivated by the experience.
Behind the table was Brandon Tomasello, creator of Blackjack on the Rocks, who blended gaming with performance in a way that was both unique and addictive. Recognizing Tina’s enthusiasm and natural flair, he offered her an opportunity to join the action as a dealer.
That’s when everything clicked.
Tina dove headfirst into the world of entertainment blackjack, investing in her own table, chips, and cards, and hosting games across Jacksonville under the Blackjack on the Rocks brand. After two years of building experience and honing her craft, she stepped out on her own to launch her signature brand: Blackjack Diva.
With a bold New York attitude, a touch of glam, and a flair for showmanship, Tina transformed the traditional blackjack experience into something unforgettable—blending Vegas-style excitement with her own unique personality. Today, she offers private, customized entertainment to a growing list of clients, bringing high-energy casino vibes wherever she goes.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not exactly—and that’s what makes the journey so rewarding.
In addition to building her nightlife brand, Tina also maintained a full-time career in the healthcare industry, essentially working two jobs at once. The early days were anything but easy. Long shifts didn’t end at 5 PM—they transitioned into a second hustle, driving across Jacksonville and down to St. Augustine up to four nights a week, often running on pure determination and passion.
Balancing the structure of a 9-to-5 with the high-energy demands of nightlife entertainment tested her stamina, time management, and commitment. There were moments of exhaustion, long drives, and the constant challenge of building something new in an unfamiliar city.
But over time, something incredible happened.
The crowds grew. Faces became familiar. What started as patrons turned into loyal fans—and eventually, friendships. “Blackjack Diva” became more than a name; it became an experience people looked forward to, a nightly escape filled with laughter, energy, and connection.
What once felt like a grind began to feel like purpose.
And through every late night and early morning, Tina proved that with passion, resilience, and a little bit of New York grit, you can turn any challenge into your next big win.
