Today we’d like to introduce you to Timothy Williams.
Hi Timothy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my company at home just tinting windows in my front yard. Started with my own vehicles, friends, and families. Then, I started posting advertising online and had clients meet me to do it.
After a year, I opened my first shop and was doing amazing. COVID started and everything shut down, so I had to find a way to reintroduce the company. I turned my company into the first licensed mobile tinting service. Where we cater to the client, and we can go to the job site. If you are at work, sick at home, or just don’t want to leave your home we come to you and get it done.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Dealing with weather conditions and extreme cleaning of windows before installing due to dirt that could float in the air. Just learning how to overcome that factor was the most difficult part of this evolving company. Besides finding clients in every area we operate in.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Established in eastern NC in 2020, we are the first registered Mobile tinting Company, we specialize in automotive, commercial and residential film. We offer a service that comes to the client. We understand the hardship of trying to protect your vehicles, businesses, and homes from sun damage, UV rays, heat reduction, and even privacy concerns.
Most Americans want those much-needed protections but cannot find the time to get it done. We help with that, we work on your time. We are able to go anywhere, anyplace, any time. We just want to make sure it’s on your time. We use Suntek films, which are backed by the American cancer society. We offer free estimates on all our film jobs.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The greatest risk I took was converting into a mobile company. If you ask any tinter, or tint business they will oppose leaving a shop to tint. I was able to overcome this risk and show that it is possible to do without a shop in place.
