Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Ellis.
Hi Tim, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2022 the Ellis family decided to move to the sunshine state and we thought it would be great to have a small business to keep us busy and give our three boys in the family a great opportunity and responsibility. We created “First Coast Foam Party” that we thought would be perfect for this climate and the amount of kids in North Florida. We started doing foam parties and glow foam parties and then we got into mini golf and the kids were loving it. In the “winter” of 2022 foam slowed down so we started looking around for other ideas and we bought a game truck with 7 large TVS and “First Coast Game Truck was born”. As the hottest and most affordable game truck in North Florida we got very busy. Around the same time, Cooper, the oldest of the kids was working like a mad scientist trying to figure out how to create a SNOW affect. After many many hours in the shop and many many failures, he finally came up with a mixture that created a very cool SNOW affect for florida. We kept having people tell us that we did everything so well and kept asking what was next. We didn’t think we were going to get involved in anything else and then one day “first Coast Basketball Party” was created and we added the most epic 4 station basketball party with 4 different hoops that can be changed into three different heights as well as different size balls to accomodate people of all ages. We are now the ONLY truck in North Florida that you can actually have a free throw or 3 point challenge and actually shoot basketballs!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not having a business background and deciding to jump into it after Covid-19 was definitely a learning curve and an interesting time. We had to work as a family to figure out the websites and computer end of the business and then had to work on the marketing and advertising aspect. Once we started getting customers we had to make sure that we gave them the best service they have ever received. Balancing, administrative tasks and expenses and then adding all of the equipment needs for the businesses and finding the proper storage facilities etc has all been interesting to learn along the way. Hey, with all of this juggling, maybe I should add some clown shows to my list of services! lol
As you know, we’re big fans of First Coast Foam Party, Game Truck and Basketball Party . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At First Coast Foam Party, Game Truck and Basketball Party we bring the party to you! We do private birthday parties at your house where we arrive about 30 minutes early, we bring music and set up the party for your child. A foam party is 1 hour of AWESOME foam and the game truck and basketball truck are both 2 hours. We party with the kids for the appropriate time and make sure they have the best party ever! All you have to de is get some cupcakes for the kids!

First Coast Foam Party, Game Truck and Basketball Party is so lucky to have such a FUN “job”. It is so rewarding to see the kids freak out when we pull up with our truck and see them jumping and cheering. The best part of this is that the party has not even stated and the kids are freaking out. Once we set up and start the party we are blessed to have 1 or 2 hours to play with the kids and make them all SMILE! I can pretty much guarantee that no person reading this hears “this is the best day ever” more that we hear it at First Coast Foam Party, Game Truck and Basketball Party!
