Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sydney Thompson . Sydney was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Ashleigh Samuel.
Hi Sydney , we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve struggled with acne my entire life, I also have eczema, psoriasis, and just generalized sensitive skin. When I turned 30, my adult acne went in to overdrive as my hormones started to change. I wanted to prepare myself to have a baby so I stopped taking hormonal birth control and you could see the changes all over my T-zone. I realized I needed professional help to overhaul my skincare routine and feel good in my own skin again. Ashleigh was an answered prayer, she listened to my concerns and created a routine to target my specific hormonal acne. I went from using over the counter acne and skincare products to using pharmaceutical grade products from Ashleigh, following the routine that she created for my skin. I still have some breakouts every now and then, but the blemishes heal faster and are much more mild than prior to entering under Ashleigh’s care.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
I’m the senior executive assistant to the CEO of a local financial institution. My job is high stress, but so rewarding because our organization is passionate about giving back to our community.
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Ashleigh Samuel and Mosaic Aesthetics A Bespoke Studio and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Mosaic Aesthetics A Bespoke Studio.
Ashleigh was recommended to me by a local massage therapist. At my first consultation I knew Ashleigh would be my esthetician for life, she was so personable and passionate about her work that I knew I could trust her with my skin. I stopped taking hormonal birth control in my early 30s, causing my adult acne to go in to overdrive. The over the counter acne and skincare products that I was using were no longer working and I needed professional help. I wanted healthy skin again and Ashleigh understood that goal. From Day One, Ashleigh made it clear that there is no magical fix for hormonal acne or skincare, it is all personal and it is a process. Ashleigh conducted a thorough consultation and created a skincare routine specifically for my skin goals, and as we saw progress in my skin she adjusted the routine as needed. It would have been so easy for an esthetician to do the same treatment over and over, but Ashleigh cares so deeply for her clients and is so passionate about her work that she ensures each treatment is specific to the needs to the client at that point in time. I have been a client of Ashleigh’s pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy, and now post-partum and my skin has changed through all three stages of life. Ashleigh’s product knowledge made me confident that she would know the best treatment and skincare routine for me through all three stages of my life.
