Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Schultz.
Hi Samantha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve spent years working in administrative roles across multiple industries, from New York to Florida, building a reputation as a dependable office manager and executive assistant. When I became pregnant with my first daughter during COVID, the office I worked for transitioned to virtual, right when the concept of a “virtual assistant” was starting to gain momentum.
After having my daughter, I found myself trying to balance postpartum recovery, learning to care for a newborn, and maintaining the high standards I’d set for myself professionally all on someone else’s schedule. It was overwhelming. Then, one day, my husband came across a video about someone transforming their life by starting a virtual assistant business. That spark was all I needed.
Within a few weeks, I had formed my LLC and started building my business while still working my office job (from home with my toddler). One year later, I was able to resign and step fully into entrepreneurship. Now, approaching my third year in business full-time, I can confidently say it has changed my life. I’ve created a career that gives me flexibility: whether that’s setting my own hours, taking my two daughters to the park in the middle of the day, running errands without stress about a lunch break, or traveling to see family whenever we want.
Becoming a virtual assistant didn’t just give me a business, it gave me freedom, balance, and the ability to build a life that works for my family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest challenge has been staying consistent with marketing. I’ve learned that when I’m not posting regularly, engagement drops quickly. During my second pregnancy this past year, I was extremely sick and bedridden for much of it, which meant I could only manage the bare minimum, and if you know me, that’s completely out of character. It inevitably impacted my business, but at the time, there wasn’t much I could do.
Now that I’m fully back on my feet, I’m operating at full speed again with a renewed focus—and a clear goal to grow and expand.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a virtual assistant and systems strategist specializing in supporting wedding photographers and creative entrepreneurs. I help my clients streamline their businesses, refine their client experience, and reclaim time through intentional systems: most often through HoneyBook builds, workflow optimization, and ongoing business management.
I’m known for blending high-level strategy with hands-on execution. My clients come to me when they’re overwhelmed, stretched thin, or stuck in outdated systems that no longer match the level of service they want to provide. I take the chaos off their plate and create structure, clarity, and a more elevated client journey.
What I’m most proud of is the level of trust my clients have in me. Many of them think of me as an extension of their team, not just someone who checks off tasks, but someone who understands their brand, their goals, and their long-term vision. Growing my business from scratch while navigating motherhood has been a big milestone too; it showed me what’s possible when you combine determination with purpose. That’s why my focus is parenthood with my clients. We strive together and build a support system that every parent needs. I have been thankful that I have had clients stick with me for years at a time.
In short: I help creatives build businesses that feel lighter, more aligned, and more sustainable, so they can focus on doing the work they love.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I am a go-getter and like to figure things out. Clients often tell me they feel like I “just get it,” and I think that comes from being proactive rather than reactive. Instead of waiting for something to become a problem, I’m already working behind the scenes to streamline, simplify, or improve it. That combination of intuition, preparation, and attention to detail has been the foundation of my business and the reason I’ve built such deep, trusting relationships with the people I support.
