Meet Nicole Parker of Exusia Therapeutics, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Parker.

Hi Nicole, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in North GA, I am a former professional Ballroom dancer whose passion is serving others, empowering them, and assisting them with healing of the mind, body, and spirit. I began my nursing career as a Critical Care/Trauma RN and have extensive experience in both Allopathic and Integrative medicine. A certified AMEN Clinic Professional, certified IASIS MCN Neurofeedback Specialist, and Frequency Specific Microcurrent provider, I also hold certifications in several other holistic and alternative therapies.

I became fascinated with the brain and its potential for continuous growth, change and healing while in nursing school. After reading an article entitled, “The Science of Happiness” in Newsweek magazine, I began to dream of working in the field of Neuroscience. I was introduced to the miracle of Neurofeedback through witnessing the arduous journey of my dear friend as she battled Lyme disease and its deadly coinfections. Her body and brain were shutting down. Within three months of beginning Neurofeedback therapy, my friend began to strengthen her grip on life, conquered the disease, and currently lives a vibrant life. After witnessing this miracle, I knew with deep certainty that this was my path.

After obtaining my Neurofeedback certification, I was invited to join Dr. Jason Porter, NMD, at East Valley Naturopathic Doctors in Mesa, Arizona. There, I gained extensive experience not only as a Neurofeedback expert, but also in Naturopathy and Integrative medicine.

As the first RN to be certified in IASIS MCN Neurofeedback, I was honored to become one of the Master trainers for IASIS, and, in collaboration with researchers at the University of California, San Diego, have had the privilege of teaching hundreds of other clinical providers and in helping establish Neurofeedback and wellness clinics in Williamsville, New York and Jacksonville, FL. I established my private practice in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, in 2018, where I use a multi-modal, holistic approach to serve my clients.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My greatest struggle was fear of the unknown, the courage to jump into the deep end and have faith that everything would work out. I knew that this therapy could be life-changing for many, but the public awareness, even within the medical community, was minimal. One of the biggest challenges was making the right connections in order to educate our community about the alternatives to mainstream medicine and traditional therapies. The journey has been a wonderful adventure with smooth and bumpy roads, some potholes here and there, but full of beauty. I am deeply grateful for every moment.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I treat a wide range of conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, concussions, addiction, brain fog, PTSD, and learning disabilities. My youngest client was 5 weeks old, diagnosed with Failure to Thrive, and my oldest, 93 years old.

I incorporate a variety of modalities when serving my clients. Neurofeedback is the main component, with Homeopathy, Natural Bioenergetics, OBERON Bioresonance Biofeedback, Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy, Hypnotherapy, and ACE MediCupping massage therapy as adjuncts.

I have found that my clients have more profound benefits when I combine various therapies, getting to the root cause of imbalances in the mind, body, and spirit. I customize therapy for each individual, deeply valuing their input as we work together.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
When I reflect upon the love and support that has surrounded me, I am filled with awe, with the deepest gratitude for my friends and family who cheered me on, who lifted me up when I felt fearful and uncertain (and who continue to do so every day); for my mentor and friend, Corey Snook, President of Mind-Brain Training Institute who taught me so much about Neurofeedback and the technology that I use; for Dr. Jason Porter, NMD, of East Valley Naturopathic Doctors in Mesa, AZ, who gave me space in which to start and who taught me about Naturopathy and Integrative medicine; for Dr. Nicholas Kalynch,CRNA, Dr. Murren Hill, PsyD, MBA, and Dr. Marcus Kampfe, DC, who saw the potential of Neurofeedback and who helped me build my clientele here; for the multitude of amazing clients nationwide and in Canada – adults and children – whom I have had the privilege of serving.

There are no words to express the depth of my gratitude and love for them.
