Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Morris.
Morgan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always knew that the design world was where I belonged, and after leaving college, I had to figure out how to make it happen.
My design career became a reality in 2015 when I joined a design firm in Amelia Island. It was there that I began honing my talents while collaborating closely with clients to achieve beautiful spaces they love.
In the fall of 2018, with aspirations of owning my own firm, I established M. Morris Designs; a residential design firm offering home styling and full design for renovations and new builds.
Since then, with hard work, late nights, and the trust of some amazing clients, my business continues to grow and has expanded to an online shoppable warehouse.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ha! I don’t know if the road of entrepreneurship for me would be described as smooth. As I transitioned into running a full-time business, I realized that there was much I needed to learn to make my design business a success. Some of the struggles I’ve faced have dealt more with understanding where my strengths are as an entrepreneur, doing what I do best as a creative, and outsourcing the rest.
As a newer Interior Designer in the Jacksonville Area, I am constantly establishing connections with other local trades in the industry while marketing myself to new potential clients and keeping current projects moving forward. It’s definitely a balancing act between working in the business versus working on the business, fine-tuning systems, and procedures, and managing all the moving parts.
Overall, I think the key for any entrepreneur is to keep moving forward; learn from your mistakes; remember that building a business takes time, patience, and consistency.

M. Morris Designs is a full-service interior design firm located in Jacksonville Beach, specializing in residential design and also offers an online shoppable warehouse.
I work to ensure each project is a reflection of the client while incorporating a fresh, timeless aesthetic. I believe attention to detail and the functionality of one’s surroundings are key when designing the perfect space.
From concept to completion, my company provides design clients with everything from detailed drawings/layouts, design boards, procurement of trade products, and final installation of all items down to decorative accessories and pillows!
My mission is to elevate homes and create lasting relationships through curated products and personalized services to enhance my customers’ and clients’ lives.

My relationship with my clients and the services that I provide to them.
For me a successful project is one where my client is not only happy but where I’ve exceeded their expectations. Make sure that the design and installation are done right; knowing that mishaps do happen from time to time but handling and correcting them when they do occur. My goal is to give my clients the ultimate design experience from start to finish.
This industry is heavily based on referrals, and I feel like the greatest compliment is when my clients rehire me for another project or refer my company to their friends and family.
