Meet Mauricio Belgrano of Jacksonville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mauricio Belgrano.

Hi Mauricio, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was four, I’d sit surrounded by neighbors, reading Disney stories from cassette tapes, giving each character a voice. That love for storytelling never left me. But in 2023, I faced my darkest season, my mom was battling cancer, and my wife’s pregnancy became life-threatening. Those moments weighed heavily on me. But through my faith in Jesus, and listening to wise, faithful mentors, I realized my view of money needed to change. It wasn’t evil, it was a tool for good. And in that shift, I also saw that beautiful videos alone weren’t enough. I needed to provide a roadmap, strategic guidance that helps businesses not just tell stories, but see real return. Now, I don’t just craft videos, I help businesses turn them into strategic growth.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road.

For a long time, I was passionate about storytelling but not serious about business. I could create beautiful, cinematic videos, but I was not focused on marketing, sales, or building systems. I believed that if the work was excellent, clients would simply come. That mindset cost me time and growth.

The hardest season came in 2023. My mom was battling cancer and declining quickly, while at the same time my wife was facing a high risk pregnancy due to preeclampsia. We had already experienced a traumatic premature birth with our second child, so the fear was very real. I was trying to be present as a husband and father while carrying the emotional weight of losing my mom. During that time, I was not selling, not marketing, and not leading my company well. I questioned whether I should shut everything down and just take a stable job somewhere else.

There was also an internal struggle. I had a distorted view of money. Subconsciously, I associated growth and wealth with greed. Because of that, I held myself back. I did not pursue expansion the way I should have. Listening to faithful men and mentors helped me understand that money itself is not evil, it is a tool. That mental reset was critical.

Another struggle was realizing that creativity alone is not enough in business. Clients do not need pretty videos. They need results. I had to learn strategy, positioning, messaging, and how to build a roadmap that leads to return on investment. That required humility, study, and stepping into areas that were uncomfortable for me, especially sales.

Looking back, the road has been marked by emotional pressure, mindset battles, and business lessons learned the hard way. But those struggles forced me to grow. They shaped how I lead today and how I serve business owners now, with clarity, strategy, and long term vision instead of just creativity.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I lead a video production and media strategy company called Name Sake Pictures, based in Northeast Florida. We help growth focused businesses use video as a tool for clarity, positioning, and revenue. What began as cinematography has evolved into strategic storytelling. Today, we do not just produce content, we help companies build structured video systems that support marketing, training, and long term brand growth.

I specialize in helping business owners move from random content to intentional communication. That includes brand story videos, short form content, training libraries for scaling teams, and strategic campaigns designed to generate measurable return. Over the past few years, I have become known not just for clean visuals and strong editing, but for helping clients think through the why behind their message. A beautiful video without direction is just noise. My role is to make sure every piece of content has a purpose.

What I am most proud of is the shift we have made from simply creating good looking media to creating media that produces results. I am proud that clients trust us with their brand voice, their internal training, and in many cases, their growth strategy. I am also proud of building a business that aligns with my values as a husband and father. Excellence in business means nothing if integrity is compromised at home.

What sets me apart is the combination of storytelling instinct and strategic discipline. I started as a creative. I learned the business side later. That journey allows me to understand both the emotional power of a story and the practical necessity of return on investment. I care deeply about the craft, but I care just as much about outcomes. When a client works with us, they are not just hiring a videographer. They are gaining a partner who is thinking about their long term vision, their systems, and how their message can actually move the market.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Market. Market. Market and learn about how to sell to others. These are the life and blood of your business. Don’t just rely on word of mouth, if you want to scale. This has been my most important lesson I’ve learned.

Pricing:

  • Social media management starting at $399/mo
  • Video marketing strategy with results: starting at $10,000
