Meet Mary McBride of North Central Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary McBride.

Hi Mary, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Before my son was born, I spent about seven years working in various creative spaces. Helping other creatives build their brands, grow their fan bases, and bring events to life.
While it felt fulfilling at the time, I later realized that I had never shared something completely my own—something I created from scratch, just for me.

However, that changed with the release of my debut book, “JJ Learns to Pray” .
A children’s book that came straight from my heart. It was inspired by my journey with teaching my son how to pray. The Lord put it in my spirit to create this book, to help little ones learn how to talk to God using everyday moments and scenarios.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Doing research on the front end helped me feel more prepared, but there were challenges I didn’t anticipate until after the manuscript was finished. From navigating the self-publishing process to understanding formatting requirements, and distribution logistics. I also had to overcome moments of self-doubt, where I questioned whether I was qualified or if anyone would even care about what I created.

But I leaned into prayer and persistence. I reminded myself that the goal was never perfection, but obedience and impact. That mindset kept me going through every roadblock.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a multidisciplinary creative and author passionate about faith, storytelling, and purposeful work. I specialize in blending creativity and strategy to bring meaningful ideas to life, and I’m most fulfilled when my work inspires others to walk in their purpose.

What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, means actually following through and accomplishing what you set out to do, no matter the area of life. So many of us, myself included, have bright ideas that never make it past the dreaming stage. Sometimes it’s because we feel it’s too hard, or we simply don’t know where or how to begin. But success is found in the doing, in giving life to the things placed on your heart, even if the path is uncertain.
