Hi Marienna Mercedes, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My name is Marienna Mercedes Joiner. I am a 30-year-old stay-at-home wife, mama, & CEO. About six years ago, I was burnt out and unfulfilled working a dead-end job I dreaded going to. I have always been a big dreamer & creatrix. I knew a 9-5 would not always be for me. I dabbled in some online businesses and did pretty well for myself with an MLM, but that quickly burnt me out. I wanted to work for myself and myself only and build a business that would allow me to get my creative juices flowing, something I could be extremely proud of and also something that could help other people. In 2018, Boss Babe Baddie, LLC was born. I built my six-figure e-commerce agency from the ground up and have been proudly running my agency for four years now. We build e-commerce brands for our clients from the ground up, source their products for them, and do all their social media management and marketing to drive brand awareness, traffic, and sales to their e-commerce stores. Not only have I built a brand I am so proud of, but I also help others build brands they can be proud of. We bring their vision to life and help them run an automated e-commerce business that can make them passive income. I have had so much fun with my business as a Baddiepreneur. I create planners, e-books, courses, and juicy mentorship programs that have been so fulfilling to create and share with others wanting to learn what I have accomplished as a businesswoman. I am freaking obsessed and passionate about helping other women bring their wildest dreams to fruition, and I help them achieve that in my one-on-one creatrix coaching program. Together, we build a brand from the ground up and create a business they can be proud of that profits! I love and enjoy what I do and have utilized social media marketing to grow my business. I have over 17,000 students in my Facebook group that I have helped over the last six years.
On top of my Boss Babe Baddies Business, I also recently started my own automated Airbnb cleaning business that I am currently working on scaling. We are The STR Cleaning Queens. I have hired multiple cleaners in the Jacksonville area to clean Airbnb turnovers, making hosting much easier for business owners. I have also dabbled in the Airbnb business space, and I know how hard it is to find reliable cleaners for Airbnb that are good at what they do, so I decided to start an Airbnb niche-based cleaning company to help with that. I know this industry will continue to grow with the Airbnb industry, and I plan to hire more cleaners to scale our company.
I am grateful to be in a position to have helped so many people over the years and to be able to provide income streams and jobs for people needing them. I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
It hasn’t always been this easy; the hardest part was getting started. Before starting my business, I had a lot of self-doubt and fear of failing. Stepping out of your comfort zone is extremely difficult, but everything changed for the greater good once I did. I shifted my mindset to believe in myself. Everything I ever wanted out of life was right there on the other side of my fear, and getting over that fear was the hardest thing to do when deciding to become an entrepreneur, but I am so grateful I did, or I would not be where I am at today. So if I could give anyone advice which is thinking about starting their own business, it’s simple, stop just thinking about it, and do it! You will be so happy that you did.

Can you talk to us about happiness and what makes you happy?
Freedom makes me happy, living life on my terms and being able to build businesses that have allowed me to live life the way I want. It has allowed me to be home with my husband and children. I never miss a moment with them. I get to be the stay-at-home mom and the thriving business CEO, which is something I am so proud of myself for. I’ve been able to be a role model for my children to show them anything is possible and to always go after their dreams. I get to travel the world with them and enjoy every moment. I don’t miss a baseball game, a sick day, or a milestone. I get to be there for it all, which has made running my businesses worth it.
