Meet Kiya Burton of Infinite Luxury Parties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiya Burton

Hi Kiya, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Infinite Lux is actually only about a year old. What started this journey, honestly it was my kids. I’m a very creative person in general and I always wanted my kids to have these cool birthdays that are trending, one day I was like I could really do this. So it started with one balloon arch in my grandmas living then my cousin would ask me and my mom to help with birthdays or gender reveals, the more we did it the more I wanted to turn this into a career and then Infinite Luxury Parties was born.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wish I could say it was smooth. My biggest fear is failure and failing at something I genuinely love would be devastating but the support of my family made me take that step to the next level. Some things that have been a struggle would probably have to be financial, time and space. With the financial aspect, of course everyone wants to have their own business to make money but realistically when you start a business you have to invest into it so thinking you will be rich right out the gate is not a mentality you want to have because you will be extremely discouraged. As for time, we are still new and learning with every party so being able to execute parties in a timely manner has be the hardest thus far.

We’ve been impressed with Infinite Luxury Parties, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Infinite Luxury Parties is a family owned business that specializes in party designing and decorating. We don’t just offer parties,we offer experiences. We have bounce houses and unique design concepts. Infinite Lux consist of Lisa Ector, my mom, my support and manager. She also takes care of any baking needs. Also Jerry Ector, my dad, my woodsman who is amazing at building anything, his talent is endless, then it’s me Kiya Burton, party designer. I keep up with the trends and I come up with concepts that will give customers a visual interpretation of what their party could consist of. As for what I’m most proud of I couldn’t say just one thing I would have to say wanting to be interviewed by a magazine is definitely at the top of the list but mostly over all just overcoming the fear of failure. I would like to tell our reader to keep faith and keep going. Follow your heart and dreams.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy? About 10 years ago I wouldn’t been able to answer this but I can say quickly without hesitation my kids. Why? Is just as easy to answer, they are the reason I’m here, they give me purpose, they are the reason for my business and why I keep going even when I want to give up. They make me want to be better
