Meet Kenetra Saintilaire of Other

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenetra Saintilaire.

Kenetra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a wife, mother of three, entrepreneur, certified life coach, and creative, I understood what it felt like to constantly pour into others while neglecting moments of rest and reflection for myself. Over time, I realized that creativity was more than just painting or crafting it became a form of peace, connection, and restoration. That realization inspired me to build a space where others could experience that same feeling.

What began as an idea slowly evolved into a creative studio centered around intentional experiences, community, and wellness through art. Along the way, there were challenges, moments of uncertainty, and seasons that required faith and perseverance, but each step helped shape the heart behind the business.

Today, Fleurish Creative Studio
has grown into an award-winning creative space in Savannah, Georgia, where we host elevated art experiences, workshops, private events, community gatherings, and wellness-centered experiences for individuals, couples, families, and organizations. We have also had the opportunity to partner with local organizations, schools, and community groups to create spaces that encourage connection, creativity, and mental wellness.

More than anything, I want people to leave our studio feeling lighter, seen, inspired, and reminded that it is okay to pause and fleurish.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, especially those building something from the ground up, there were many moments that required faith, resilience, and learning along the way.

As a Black woman-owned entrepreneur, there were additional challenges that came with building a business and creating space in industries where representation and access are not always equal. There were moments of having to work twice as hard to be seen, trusted, and taken seriously while still remaining authentic to who I am and the vision God placed in me.

One of the biggest challenges was balancing family life, motherhood, leadership, and the emotional weight that can come with entrepreneurship. There were seasons of uncertainty where I questioned whether things would work, whether people would truly understand the vision, or how to continue growing while still protecting my own peace and wellness.

Another challenge was creating something unique in a space where art is often seen as just entertainment. I always had and still have a bigger vision for Fleurish Creative Studio not just a place to paint, but a place where people could experience rest, connection, healing, and intentional community through creativity. That meant educating people on the deeper purpose behind what we do while also building a sustainable business.

There are challenges with funding, visibility, marketing, learning systems, and wearing multiple hats at once. In the early stages especially, there are many unseen sacrifices that come with entrepreneurship and building something meaningful from the ground up.

But every obstacle helped strengthen me. The difficult seasons sharpened my faith, stretched my leadership, and reminded me why I started this journey in the first place. Looking back now, I can honestly say that every challenge became part of the foundation that continues to shape both me and the business today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am the founder of Fleurish Creative Studio
alongside my husband, and together we have built an award-winning creative studio in Savannah, Georgia that focuses on intentional art experiences centered around connection, wellness, creativity, and community. As an entrepreneur, certified life coach, speaker, and creative, my work blends art with emotional wellness and meaningful human connection.

At Fleurish Creative Studio, we specialize in elevated private art experiences, paint and sip events, team-building workshops, wellness-centered creative experiences, date nights, family experiences, speaking engagements, and community-centered events. What makes our studio unique is that we focus on creating environments where people can truly pause from the stress of everyday life and reconnect with themselves and others through creativity.

I am especially passionate about helping people understand that art is not just about talent it can also be a tool for healing, reflection, rest, mindfulness, and emotional wellness. That perspective has allowed us to work with families, couples, business owners, schools, organizations, and community groups looking for experiences that go beyond traditional entertainment.

One thing I am most proud of is building a space that people genuinely feel connected to. Seeing guests walk in stressed or overwhelmed and leave feeling lighter, inspired, and refreshed means everything to me. I am also incredibly proud that we have been recognized as Savannah’s Best New Business of the Year 2025 while continuing to grow meaningful partnerships within the community.

What sets us apart is the intentionality behind everything we create. We do not simply host art classes we create experiences with purpose. As a Black woman-owned business, I also take pride in creating something authentic that creates representation, community impact, and a welcoming space for people from all walks of life to simply breathe, create, and fleurish.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
One of the biggest things I have learned is the importance of genuinely building relationships instead of simply looking for opportunities. Some of the best connections, partnerships, and mentorship moments in my journey came from simply showing up consistently, being authentic, serving others well, and staying connected to the community.

For me, networking has worked best through attending local business events, chamber gatherings, community events, conferences, and putting myself in rooms where growth and collaboration were happening. I learned that you cannot be afraid to introduce yourself, share your vision, and follow up afterward. A simple conversation can truly open unexpected doors.

When it comes to finding a mentor, I believe it is important to find someone whose character, leadership, and lifestyle align with where you are trying to go not just someone who is successful financially. Mentorship does not always have to look formal either. Sometimes mentorship comes through conversations, observing how someone moves, learning from their experiences, or simply having access to wisdom and guidance when needed.

What has worked well for me is staying teachable, asking questions, being willing to learn, and not being afraid to start before feeling fully ready. I also believe in building genuine community rather than transactional relationships. People can often tell when someone only wants something from them versus when someone truly values connection.

As a Black woman entrepreneur, I have also learned the importance of creating my own seat at the table when necessary and continuing to show up confidently even in spaces where representation may be limited. Building relationships with people who genuinely support your vision, encourage growth, and challenge you to become better is incredibly valuable.

Most importantly, I would say stay consistent, stay visible, and do not underestimate the power of kindness, authenticity, and follow-through. Those things have opened many doors for me personally and professionally.
