Today we’d like to introduce you to Karissa Hagemeister.
Hi Karissa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story has two parts to it; the first is fashion, and the second is influencer marketing. I started designing fashion when I was 12 years old and began to teach myself to sew at 14. I’ve always had an eye for color, fashion, and style. I grew my talent and skills by designing and sewing outfits for friends to wear to proms, weddings, and other events. I’ve held a few fashion shows through the years, and eventually, I would love to have my designs in boutiques worldwide. But today, I have an online boutique where I bring my favorite pieces from other USA brands and showcase them for sale. I am currently working on opening my first store in Jacksonville. The second, influencer marketing, started five or more years back when I saw beautiful women making money by sharing products they loved. I knew I wanted in on the fun and began to learn about social media and how to create content. This feels like an ever-learning process, but I have enjoyed it all along the way. I have worked with several unique brands and met a great community of women worldwide.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing in life is ever smooth. With my fashion, one of the most significant bumps was getting the money I needed from one step to the next. With influencing, I constantly have to keep up with algorithm changes and new trends. I have to make sure my content is entertaining and worthwhile. For the first few years, I also had to juggle working full time with content creation, which is a lot for one person.

As an influencer marketer, I specialize in women’s fashion and beauty products. I work with skincare, makeup, and even beauty tech. I can help you dress your best and care for your skin. What sets me apart from others is that I don’t just want you to buy a product. I aim to help women feel good and look good in their skin. I want them to feel confident and beautiful. I believe each woman is gorgeous, and I would love for them to step into that place and own their beauty.
