Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Bludsworth.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I first realized my own home needed a good cleaning when I noticed the siding getting dirty. Like most homeowners, I grabbed a pressure washer and tried to tackle it myself. But after a full day of blasting away, it still didn’t look as clean as I hoped. That’s when I knew there had to be a better, safer, and more effective way.
A little research led me to a method called softwashing a low-pressure, high-efficiency cleaning process that protects surfaces while delivering a deeper clean. From that moment, I was hooked. I cleaned my own house and driveway, then moved on to my parents’ home and other family members. Not only did it give me valuable hands-on practice, but it also helped me build my very first portfolio.
What started as a simple side hustle quickly grew into something more. After work and on weekends, I found myself doing driveways and house washes and spending my free time learning everything I could about the industry. A few years later, I realized I was earning more in my “after-hours” business than I was at my full-time job. There’s a saying: The only way to do it is just to do it. So, in October 2022, I took the leap and went full-time.
Today, our business proudly serves homeowners and partners across North Florida—including restaurants, realtors, and other small businesses—along with a loyal customer base that relies on us year-round. This year, we expanded into Christmas lighting, and it has added a whole new layer of joy to what we do. There’s nothing like watching families step outside and see their home lit up for the first time—kids with glowing faces, parents smiling, knowing we helped create a little magic. Sometimes it’s a child’s first Christmas with lights on their home; sometimes it may be the last holiday a family shares together. Either way, being part of those moments is something I truly value.
Whether we’re removing slippery algae from a sidewalk or transforming a home into a holiday showstopper, our goal is simple: make people excited about where they live. And every day, I’m grateful that a hobby turned into a passion and that passion turned into a business that lets us bring a little brightness to others, all year long.
“If there’s no opportunity to say no, then there’s no opportunity to say YES”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges in building this business was starting from scratch, no roadmap, no industry background, just a willingness to learn and a determination to do things the right way. In the early days, I faced everything from limited equipment to long nights spent studying techniques, safety, chemistry, and customer service. Balancing a full-time job while growing a side business was tough, but it taught me discipline and pushed me to stay focused on my goals.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We specialize in softwashing and professional paver sealing, delivering results that protect and enhance every surface we touch. Both my employee and I have completed extensive training, online coursework, hands-on instruction, and real-world practice to master the craft of paver sealing. We’re proud to have earned the title of Master Certified Technicians, the highest level of certification offered by the sealer manufacturer we trust and use daily.
Our commitment to quality shows in our work and in the feedback we receive. We’re steadily approaching 200 five-star Google reviews, a milestone that reflects the care we put into every home and business we service.
Beyond the job sites, we stay active in our community. Each year, we participate in a local Christmas parade, something we look forward to as it brings families together, spreads holiday cheer, and lets us give back to the community that supports us.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
