Today we’d like to introduce you to Igor Davis.
Igor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been curious about everything for as long as I can remember.
Growing up in Brazil, I was the kid who always had a book in hand, always asking why, always wanting to understand how things worked, and then share what I found. By the time I was seven, I was writing and illustrating my own little books and comic magazines and selling them to neighbors and classmates at school. By nine, I was reading about the power of intention, about faith, about how color and light could affect people’s wellbeing. It just felt real to me, and I wanted to go deeper.
By thirteen, I was studying numerology, oracles, and divination systems, and quietly practicing with friends and family. That never stopped.
Through my teens in the mid-2000s, I kept going deeper. I was reading about the Law of Attraction, exploring different authors and teachings, and actually applying what I learned to my own life. It helped me navigate relationships, family dynamics, and the emotional complexity of growing up. I wasn’t just studying it academically, I was living it, testing it, watching it work. Those years shaped the practitioner I became more than anything that came later.
By the time I got to law school, this was already a serious part of who I was. And even there, something interesting kept happening: people would find their way to me — colleagues, classmates, professors — for conversations that had nothing to do with law. I was still sitting with people, still reading, still practicing. I also used everything I now teach my clients to attract things into my own life during those years (opportunities, relationships, experiences) that I had no business having on a law student’s timeline. I noticed. I took notes.
I earned my degree, passed the bar exam, and built a professional career with amazing attorneys I looked up to. Good years, genuinely. But the whole time, the other work never stopped. I enjoyed those conversations far more than anything happening in a courtroom.
Over the years, I lived and worked across multiple countries, learned languages, absorbed cultures and traditions from the inside. I came to the United States about ten years ago, and I kept doing what I had always done: working with entrepreneurs, executives, and families navigating decisions and transitions that no amount of strategy could fully resolve.
At some point, I started noticing what was actually happening. The business owners I had given metaphysical consultations to — not legal advice, but real energetic, and intuitive guidance — were doubling their revenue. People were coming back to or expanding their families. People were living drama-free for the first time in their lives, and conquering dreams that had been secrets even to themselves. Professionals were making decisions with a clarity they hadn’t felt in years. That’s when I understood this wasn’t something I did on the side. It was the work.
After more than a decade of quietly practicing, mostly through word of mouth, and having worked with hundreds of people from all over the world, I finally officially opened Igor Guides. The practice was already there. I just stopped treating it as secondary.
I’m based in Jacksonville and St. Augustine and now work with clients globally via video. My first book, Trust Your Universe, is almost ready and feels like something that a seven-year-old kid always knew was coming.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth? Not even close.
I spent about ten years living far from my family, moving from country to country for work. That kind of life looks adventurous from the outside, and in many ways it was. But there is a cost to being far from the people you love for that long, navigating everything alone, building and rebuilding in places where you are always, to some degree, starting over.
Practicing law added another layer. It is an emotionally demanding career in ways that people outside of it rarely see. You carry other people’s conflicts, their fears, their worst moments. Over time that accumulates.
And underneath all of it was something quieter and more persistent: the ongoing tension of not doing, full time, what I knew I was here to do. I had two burnouts. Not collapses I am ashamed of, but experiences I now understand completely. Because I know exactly what causes them. Living for years in a way that serves other people’s expectations, or society’s version of a legitimate path, while your actual calling sits waiting on the side, that has a price. The body keeps the score, as they say.
Those experiences are a big part of why I work the way I work now. When someone sits with me navigating a crossroads, or feeling stuck in a life that looks fine on paper but feels wrong; I am not guessing at what that feels like. I have been there. It is just the truth.
As you know, we’re big fans of Igor Guides. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Igor Guides is a spiritual guidance and consciousness practice based in Jacksonville and St. Augustine, serving clients globally. I work with people through oracle and tarot readings, energy healing, business oracle sessions, and consciousness development; in person and via video, with clients across the United States, Brazil, Europe, and beyond.
My clients come from very different places in life. Some are executives and entrepreneurs navigating high-stakes decisions. Others are people in a quieter kind of crossroads wanting to understand themselves more deeply, reconnect with who they actually are, manifest a life that feels genuinely aligned, or simply get a clear and honest reading on where they stand and where they are going. The work meets people wherever they are.
What I specialize in is the intersection that most practitioners never reach: genuine intuitive depth combined with the analytical precision of someone who has also spent years in law and international business. That combination changes what is possible in a session. I can see what is happening energetically and communicate it with clarity; not vague impressions, but specific, actionable insight that people can actually use.
I am known for being direct, warm, and disarmingly precise. People often say they came for a reading and left with a completely different understanding of what was actually going on in their lives. That is the work I am most proud of.
Igor Guides is also a brand I built to reflect what this practice actually is, not vague wellness, not generic spirituality, but something rigorous, elegant, and deeply personal. Serious work, held with care, for anyone ready to go deeper.
My first book, Trust Your Universe, is coming soon, written for people who are done guessing and ready to start knowing.
Sessions are available at igorguides.com.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Honestly, I am not sure I believe in luck the way most people mean it.
What I believe in is consciousness. If you move through life genuinely aware of abundance, of possibility, of your own capacity to create, that is what keeps showing up in front of you. Because your state of consciousness literally shapes what you perceive, what you pursue, and what you allow in. Not because the universe is rewarding positive thinking, like most would tend to think.
When someone tells me they have bad luck, I get curious. Not skeptical, curious, really. Because in my experience, what looks like bad luck is almost always something worth investigating. A belief inherited from family. A pattern absorbed from culture or environment. Sometimes, an energy that did not originate inside you at all but has been influencing how you see and experience yourself for years, without you realizing it.
That is not a comfortable thing to hear. But it is one of the most freeing things a person can discover, because it means the situation is not fixed. It can change. You can change it.
I do that homework on myself every day. Consciously, seriously, without pretending I have it all figured out. That ongoing self-investigation is the foundation of the work that I do with clients.
