Today we’d like to introduce you to Frank Solana
Hi Frank, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After a career in professional tennis and heading the tennis programs at several major resorts, I have become solely focused on competing in professional Pickleball and teaching the game – having formed my own Academy at Frederica Golf Club in St. Simons, Georgia. Pickleball is what I do for a living; every day, all day. I’ve worked hard to build my skills, my instruction curriculum and my brand as a player. My goals are to play at the highest professional levels and improve the skills of my students (who presently number in the hundreds). As a player, I continue to improve and have been competing on the professional circuit for four years. Last year I launched my own paddle brand called Luna. I named it after my daughter. Next year I plan to take my camps Internationally. Stayed tuned for my website for the locations.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have been getting my butt kicked by the best players in the world. I have gotten to compete against Ben Johns and Railey Newman. Those looses have made me the player I am today
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I started my own paddle company in 2023. The entire process took me a year. It has been a very rewarding experience because I built something that I wanted to play with and knew it was awesome. Now I get pictures of my paddle all over the country
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
If you are just starting out pickleball. I would recommend you getting a coach and learn all the shots. Most people think is easy and then they are limited on how good they can be
