Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Pampalone.
Hi Elizabeth, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started in marketing almost 30 years ago, back when a website was a luxury and email marketing meant typing addresses one at a time. For years I ran my business the way everyone said to. I sold 30-day website projects. And every single client would get me their content on day 29 of 30. So I’d end up building their entire website in a day anyway, out of pure necessity.
Eventually I burnt out. That’s when it hit me. If I was already doing websites in a day, why not just sell it that way? I revamped my whole business around that one thing: Website in a Day. On my very first client call after the change, the client asked if I did anything else in a day. I winged it and said yes, I also did branding and social media in a day. And just like that, the Absolute Marketing Method was born.
After 15 years in the industry, I had finally cracked the code on my zone of brilliance. I’ve never looked back.
Today that method has grown into Absolute Marketing, my Jacksonville, Florida based marketing consultancy. I work with small business owners across the country through Power Days, ongoing marketing support plans, and self-paced online marketing courses. I speak internationally on small business marketing, marketing automation, and AI for business owners. I host the Do This First Podcast and wrote a book called Do This First, available on Amazon, that walks business owners through the order marketing should actually happen in.
The heart of it hasn’t changed. Most small business owners don’t fail at marketing because they’re lazy. They fail because they’re overwhelmed. At Absolute Marketing, my whole philosophy is that marketing should be simple, automated, and finished, so you can get back to running your business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not even close. The burnout was real. For 15 years I did marketing the way the industry said it should be done, and it nearly took me out. Long project timelines, clients who disappeared for weeks, scope creep, and me working nights and weekends to hold it all together. I was successful on paper and exhausted in real life.
The hardest part was giving myself permission to do it differently. When you tell people you build websites in a day or do a full brand in a day, the first reaction is usually doubt. I had to prove, over and over, that faster didn’t mean sloppier. It meant focused. The 30-day model wasn’t producing better work. It was producing the same work with 29 extra days of stress attached.
There was also the struggle every business owner knows: doing everything myself. I was the marketer, the bookkeeper, the salesperson, and the support desk. That season taught me why my clients felt so overwhelmed, and it shaped how I teach now. Automation and simple systems aren’t nice-to-haves. They’re how a small business owner survives.
And honestly, the struggles never fully stop. You launch things that flop. You bet on ideas that don’t land. But every one of those taught me something I now pass on to my clients: done and simple beats perfect and complicated every time.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Absolute Marketing is built on one idea: marketing should be simple, automated, and finished. I’m known as the person who does in a day what the industry says takes months. Branding in a day. A website in a day. A year of social media in a day. That’s the Absolute Marketing Method, and it’s what sets me apart.
My core offer is the Power Day, a one-day intensive where a business owner and I sit down together and finish one piece of their marketing completely. Most agencies do things for you and keep you dependent. I do things with you, so you understand your own marketing and own it when we’re done. Business owners can book a single Power Day or the full 5-Day Absolute Marketing Method, which covers branding, website, email and blog/podcasting, and social media, and walks out with an entire marketing system built and automated.
For owners who want ongoing help, my Power Plan provides ongoing support so their marketing stays current without becoming a second job. And for the do-it-yourself crowd, I offer self-paced online courses covering everything from branding to AI, all at flat one-time prices. No subscriptions, no upsells.
What am I most proud of brand wise? That my clients stop dreading their marketing and start loving it. I’ve watched overwhelmed business owners become confident owners of their own message. Many of them had spent years and thousands of dollars on marketing that went nowhere, and in five days we fix what a no-one else could.
What I want readers to know is this: you don’t need more platforms, more content, or more tactics. You need clarity, a simple system, and someone to help you build it fast. That’s what I do.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Nobody builds a business alone, even a business about doing things in a day.
It starts with my mom. She homeschooled me from kindergarten through 12th grade (along with 4 other siblings), and I was so fortunate to have that. She encouraged me to chase whatever interested me, and for me that was technology. I taught myself to program websites at 14. By the time I had to pick a college major, I already knew: a programmer could make good money, and I already loved the work.
Then there was a college professor who changed everything. In a programming major full of young men, I was one of only three girls who stuck it out to the end. At one point I was struggling in his class, getting a C when I had a 4.0 everywhere else. He pulled me aside and told me I could do this. That it was about practice, not perfection. Consistency, not acing every test. He believed in me, a young girl from a very non-techy family, and he told me he’d make sure I learned it. I did. And that lesson, practice over perfection, became the foundation of how I teach marketing to this day.
My clients deserve enormous credit too. Every part of the Absolute Marketing Method exists because a client pushed me. The very first client who asked “do you do anything else in a day?” changed the entire direction of my business with one question.
And, most important, my family. My husband encourages me every single day, during the lean time and times of plenty. My son is my inspiration to be the best mom I can be, clients or no clients. At the end of the day, that’s what a simple, automated business is really for: more time with the people who matter most.
