Growing up, I watched my parents become successful entrepreneurs. They always put God first. My parents owned a successful carpet and furniture cleaning business for 20 years in Northern Virginia. I saw them work around the clock putting in the hard work, dedication, and commitment in their business. I also saw their love for their work. This inspired me to become an entrepreneur. If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.
A native of Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Pamela Wiggins is a Christian, daughter, sister, auntie, and god-mommy. Professionally, she is a leadership expert, 2x #1 Best-Selling author, adjunct professor of leadership and business, Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, Certified Arbitrator, Certified Master Life Coach, Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, motivational speaker, and multi-business owner. She is the Founder/CEO of Wiggins Management & Consulting, LLC, a small woman owned minority business specializing in leadership development and professional and management development training, family mediation, and arbitration. Dr. Wiggins is a lifelong advocate of education, training, and self-care. Dr. Wiggins diverse professional career spans from corporate business to higher education to social services with over 16 years of corporate executive leadership experience as Chief Executive Officer; 15 years of experience in staff training, coaching, and mentoring; 14 years of experience in quality management and auditing; 12 years of experience in social services and Family Safety programs; over four years of executive leadership in higher education as Interim Dean of Academic Affairs, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and Faculty Team Lead. In addition, she has 15 years of teaching experience in higher education online, hybrid, and ground courses, as well as developing and revising course curriculum.
Dr. Wiggins diverse career has led to over 15 years of effectively developing plans of action from program inception to completion; successful achievement of higher education institutional re-accreditation; analyzing program results to move organizations forward; seeking out new, innovative program ideas to implement into existing programs; fostering ongoing professional growth and development; setting strategic goals for organizations; leading quality improvement programs and projects; providing strategic vision and transformational leadership while leading organizations and programs, and ensuring programs and staff are fully supported while advancing organizational vision and mission statements.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In business you will have challenges and obstacles. Focus and outlook is everything. My focus stays on God because He is my guide. Challenges that presented early on in my business were finding the right location, not for me, but for my clients-the need for services to be accessible. Another challenge that presented itself was of course growing my clientele and business to become established.
