Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Denese Anderson.

Hi Dr. Denese, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In the darkest days of my life, when tragedy had struck, I found a wonderful counselor. It was her that helped lead me to healing and putting my life back together. What she taught me helped me to be an even stronger woman than I was before the tragedy struck. I will never be the same person I was before, but she helped me grow into a stronger woman after. As I found my healing, she encouraged me to enter into school and become a counselor so I spent the next 10 years learning everything that I could and participating in schooling until I received my PhD now today everything I learned in my life and in school, I apply to help other women and families heal recover and grow as I did. Nothing is ever was wasted everything that touched my life I now use to help others heal.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
