Hi Dawn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
With a strong foundation in business and finance, I have been the driving force behind JADA Roofing LLC for more than a decade, transforming it from a modest family start-up into a multimillion-dollar enterprise while never wavering from my staunch commitment to old-school family values that my grandparents taught me: faith, integrity, honesty, and people-first service. I ensure that both my family and my businesses operate with precision and purpose each and every day.
I strive to lead and mentor with authenticity and passion. I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity to prove that women can be devoted wives and mothers while also thriving as savvy entrepreneurs. In 2023, I was honored to be named as one of the Top 20 Women in the Construction Industry, an award recognizing professional women who are shaping the construction landscape through innovation, leadership, and outstanding professional achievement.
But before building spaces, I spent years capturing moments as a professional wedding photographer. I memorialized love and laughter, turning life’s fleeting moments into timeless art. In 2010, my contributions were recognized nationwide when I was featured in the centerfold of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Magazine, a moment that truly made me feel valued as a visionary storyteller. I still look back on that honor and remain filled with such heartfelt gratitude. Yet even then, a single story was never enough. I felt drawn to something more.
Over time, my interests led me toward business development, real estate, and construction. My imagination began shifting from photographs to structures, from capturing beauty to building it. That’s when the vision for THREE FOURS RANCH began to take shape. I envisioned a space that would embody everything I had learned and everything I had loved. I first acquired a gorgeous 134-acre legacy ranch. Then I dreamed up each room in my head before the building ever existed. Before I knew it, my ideas were in architectural engineering, and in January 2025, we broke ground on the venue. I oversaw every detail from concept to completion as my family’s dream rose from the ground. Every beam, every layout, every whisper of thoughtful design carries my hands, my heart, and my story. And in that space of passion and possibility, THREE FOURS RANCH was born, not just a structure, but a blessed place where dreams take shape, artistry lives, and imagination becomes reality.
I remain a small-town girl at heart. Grounded in my faith, love for my family, and driven by a mission to make a lasting impact on those I love. I continue to learn, build, and lead with an unyielding determination to create generational wealth for my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to come. No matter the obstacles or challenges I face in business and in life, I never quit!
One of the most impactful pieces of advice I can offer others is to understand that life’s most valuable lessons are learned in the losses. Embrace your failures, acknowledge your mistakes, and never stop learning!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has most certainly not been a smooth road.
In 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy. As a woman, the repercussions were devastating. Mentally, emotionally, and physically taxing. But my boys were young, and I never wanted them to see me weak or worry about me. I trusted in The Lord to deliver me from cancer just as He had delivered me from countless other trials and tragedies, and He did. Thank you, Jesus.
Most recently, JADA Roofing has faced the greatest obstacle in our ten-year history. These past twelve months have pushed me to my limits and tested my wherewithal repeatedly. I have admittedly fallen into fear and self-doubt, but innately, I rise. I always strive to seek the lesson through the hardship and constantly remind myself that no matter how bad things seem, I am still so very blessed. We are still in the process of overcoming, but I have no doubt that we will come out wiser and stronger on the other side.
Even through our struggle, we have just recently been named Clay Best Roofing Company for our seventh year straight!! Just in time to celebrate our ten-year JADA Roofing Anniversary. What an honor!!
