Hi David, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstories.
I provide my unique style of entertainment to VIP Events, Corporate Events, and Private Events. The world’s top client base has trusted me, and I humbly became one of the most in-demand event DJs across the country. I have had the fortune to travel the country, providing the soundtrack for celebrities, companies, organizations, and industry professional events. I have appeared and been featured on television, radio programs, and industry magazines and have been selected as the headlining talent at numerous professional sporting events (including Super Bowl XXXIX).
In addition to my performance event client base – I founded Y? Entertainment in 1998 and since have established an extraordinary resume as an entertainer, a respected entrepreneur, and an industry influencer. In 2022 I co-founded The Vident Company, a boutique audiovisual production company. My humor, music programming knowledge, and respect for your vision make me a highly sought-after entertainer. Past clients and industry colleagues say what makes me unique is my ability to connect with any age group and any event style, and I never meet a challenge I’m not up for. I am available worldwide and ready to help you exceed your event goals.
Wedding & Event Industry Thought Leader: In 2020, along with my co-host Nick, I launched Wedding Business Growth, The Rookie, and The Vet Podcast as resources to support business owners starting or looking to grow their wedding/event business. I am also the President of the Saint Augustine Wedding and Events Association and VP of Membership for North Florida MPI.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As much as it was a smooth ride, like many entrepreneurs, I have had my share of challenges and struggles to overcome. Many who join the event industry do so because they love their craft (or their deliverable) but often need balanced competence to run a business and learn as they grow. I fell victim to that more so in my early days and quickly realized that I would need to discover that balance to be successful.

I am the co-founder of The Vident Company, founded in 2022. The Vident Company is a boutique event production and video live-streaming company based in Jacksonville, FL, that will transform events into a modern and engaging hybrid experience. We work closely with Audio Visual companies to help create a seamless, unique experience for event attendees. We can work with almost any budget, from a small company presentation, social media content, or a campaign meeting to a large, multi-day, multi-location event. We are most proud of our commitment to the success of the outcome of our client’s events.
