Hi Daniel , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in the city of Jacksonville, I did not see many people from where I come from go on to become successful. At the same time, I was able to see the more affluent parts of Jacksonville and the opportunities that existed there. As I grew up, that contrast deeply shaped who I am and fueled my desire to bring opportunities to those who need them most.
That drive led me to work with students for over ten years and eventually start a software company designed to help students at scale.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but it is a road that has shaped me and given me the endurance to run the race I have been called to run. Starting a niche software company without knowing any of the key players in these circles can feel nearly impossible to break into.
But I learned at a young age how to connect with anyone, regardless of their age, race, or gender.
We’ve been impressed with Blueprint30 , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Blueprint30 is a workforce development software platform designed to help students, especially those who are at risk, justice involved, or disconnected, explore real career pathways before graduation. We connect students directly with verified recruiters from colleges, trade schools, the military, and local employers through structured exploration courses, messaging, and measurable engagement tools.
Brand wise, I am most proud that Blueprint30 was built specifically for students who are often overlooked. We are known for meeting students where they are, simplifying career exploration, and turning curiosity into concrete next steps. Our mission is simple: no young person should graduate without knowing what is possible for their future and having a clear path to pursue it.
How do you define success?
I had a justice involved student who was doing everything he could to become the first high school graduate in his family. Graduation was the goal, and he did not have a plan for what came next.
Through Blueprint30, I was able to introduce him to FSCJ, one of the recruiters on our platform. He asked questions, took a campus tour, and connected directly with the recruiter. That relationship helped him enroll in college, and today he is in the IT program at FSCJ.
That is success.
