Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Bates.

Hi Corey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my business as a side hustle in 2020. I worked 40+ hours with my full time job and close to 40 hours/week detailing. Slowly building my brand and reputation until I could go full time in 2024. I started with $100 and a trip to Autozone for soap and buckets. Through sacrifice, dedication and trial and error I turned it into a profitable business

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the failures I’ve learned along the way were underpricing my work thinking it would attract more clients. I would attract the wrong clients. Now I take on clients that appreciate quality work.

One area I am currently struggling with is hiring. I am still a one man operation. Unfortunately, if my van goes down, I get hurt or go on vacation, the business shuts down temporarily. I am working on a solution now.

I own a premium mobile detailing business that specializes in cleaning automobiles, boats, RVs and more.

I perform everything from deep cleaning, paint correction, ceramic coatings and more.

What sets me apart from others is my consistency. I am available 7 days a week, work weekends, don’t take vacations, don’t get sick, show up on time every time, and do honest, top quality work, every time.

A surprising fact about me is that I have been detailing cars since I was 12 years old. Every summer I would work for my dad who also owned a detailing business. I went on to run his detailing crew after graduating high school for a short time.
