Hi Asbury, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Asbury Arts Center / North Florida Dance Center has been serving the Green Cove Springs, Orange Park, and Middleburg communities since 2005, and as of 2020, we are under new ownership! However, Asbury Arts is still the hub for beginning several creative journeys and opening young minds to new forms of the performing arts. We strive to instill and cultivate artistic curiosities through healthy and supportive methods with our professional and knowledgable staff, as well as the loving peers built from our community. As part of our mission, we believe in inclusion and that the arts are for everyone!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, the road has been a rocky one! With being in business for so long, you naturally come across some bumps, especially with gaining 2 new owners during the pandemic. Customer service is also not the perfect industry; constantly meeting and connecting with all kinds of people, working with children and maintaining a safe environment while still keeping it fun – it’s all part of it!
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Asbury Arts Center?
We offer a variety of dance, tumbling and music classes in a safe and friendly atmosphere. We have 2 seasons at our studio; a school year session and a separate Summer session, including classes and camps. We are currently in our Fall Session, which is preparing for our end-of-year recital in June where all of our students showcase the things they learned in their classes and lessons throughout the year!
Our mission at Asbury Arts is to make the performing arts accessible to all who wish to live life creatively, and we strongly believe that all of our staff and our environment reflects that!
What makes you happy?
Being able to offer everyone the chance to explore the performing arts makes us happy! We love doing what we do and being able to see these emerging artists thrive is satisfying!

- $20 drop-in for group classes
