Lynn Geiser Bio
Lynn Tank (Maiden name in Military)
Lynn Geiser is a very persistent, passionate, and dedicated military women who has seen and been down the path of trauma and tragedy but that didn’t stop her. She pursued goals that were beyond selfish because of her passion for giving back to her sisters in the armed forces. She got out of the military in 2004 after serving 10 years in the National guard and the Active-duty Army
She felt what she experienced and the education she accomplished as a Master in Marriage and family therapy lead her to “Giving Back. After years of research and engaging with Women Veterans challenges out in the community, and her personal struggles with VA medical and claim System she knew her next step.
In 2015-2016 she served in The Mission Continues as a fellowship and as the first of 50 Women Veteran Leaders within The Mission Continues, she knew this was the right path. During her time exploring who she was and finding her passion, she created a nonprofit called “Hope4veterans, in 2018” She wanted to do more to help our sisters in armed, she wanted to be there for her sisters, give them the tools to succeed and build confidence within themselves. Hope4veterans assists all military women that want to “give back.’ and find their purpose or passion and the military women that may struggle from time to time. As military women we all have skills. goals, Ideas, and passion to help others and when we empower each other it gives opportunity to grow into amazing women. Lynn Geiser’s Journey of Trauma and Tragedy was changed into passion and growth for other military women that came across her path.
Her recently success within Hope4veterans in 2024 has expanded from reaching women veterans to reaching all military women, spouses, veterans, Active duty, National Guard, Survivors. Hope4veterans has even expanded reach from 1 county to 4 counties and goal for future reach is for 2 more counties in into Alachua counties (Gainesville)and Volusia. Not only have we expanded to counties and to status to all military women we are able to provide additional resources with the help of trained military women to become certified peer specialists. It didn’t stop there though. Hope4veterans has expanded to Clothes boutique, small financial support such grocery and gas cards, laptops to local military women to attend college, rural or seeking job opportunities, Household goods and delivered to the home especially bigger household goods and sister support. We can’t forget the P2P therapeutic Art Program where 4 goals were to reach, provide sister support, provide additional skills which build trust and confidence within self and potential to employment opportunities.
In 2025 Hope4veterans goals Is to reach more military women to reduce suicide and isolation and increase confidence and skills. Hope4veterans is working on a contract with a low-income housing project with HTG which established housing but additional community resources.
Lynn Geiser wants to mention to all of you that she can’t do it without the help of all of you regardless of if your military or not. She believes in every woman is unique and each women brings a positive growth to each and every one of us. Just need to BELIEVE AND Provide HOPE.
