Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Gladdue.
Hi Rachel , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I didn’t plan to become a model. It wasn’t something I grew up chasing or dreaming about under bright lights. My journey started somewhere quieter—behind treatment rooms, in the world of beauty, helping other women feel confident in their own skin. I saw firsthand how powerful confidence could be… how it could transform someone from the inside out.
Somewhere along the way, that transformation became personal.
In 2017, I took a step into modeling. It felt unfamiliar at first—like stepping into a version of myself I hadn’t fully met yet. I wasn’t the typical “new face.” I had a full life already—responsibilities, a career, a family. Six kids, schedules, real life. Modeling wasn’t replacing that—it was becoming something that existed alongside it.
There were moments of doubt. Wondering if I started too late. Wondering if I fit. Wondering if there was space for someone like me in an industry that often feels so defined by timelines and expectations.
But I kept showing up.
Photoshoots turned into opportunities. Opportunities turned into experiences I never imagined—standing on a runway for the first time, feeling the energy, the lights, the adrenaline. Then came bigger moments… New York Fashion Week. Milan. Places that once felt so far removed from my reality suddenly became part of my story.
And the most powerful part? I didn’t leave myself behind to get there.
I’m still a mother. Still grounded. Still deeply connected to why I started in the beauty world in the first place—to help women feel seen, confident, and beautiful in their own skin. Modeling just became another extension of that purpose.
My journey isn’t about perfection. It’s about growth. It’s about proving that you don’t have to choose one version of yourself—you can evolve, expand, and step into new spaces at any stage of life.
And I’m just getting started.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I didn’t step into modeling without hesitation—I stepped in carrying doubt.
I questioned my age.
I questioned if I started too late.
I questioned what opportunities were really meant for someone like me.
This industry can make you feel like there’s a timeline… like there’s a “right” moment you’re supposed to arrive. And for a while, I believed that maybe I had missed mine.
But the truth is—my journey didn’t start late. It started when I was ready.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work as a model specializing in print, runway, and commercial work. I’ve had the opportunity to walk in major shows, including New York and Milan Fashion Week, and continue to build a portfolio that reflects versatility, confidence, and real presence both on camera and on the runway.
I’m known for bringing authenticity and relatability into my work. I don’t try to fit into a single mold—I lean into who I am, and that translates naturally in my walk, my expressions, and the way I connect with brands and audiences.
What I’m most proud of is building my modeling career at a non-traditional stage in life. As a mother of six, stepping into this industry took confidence and resilience, and every opportunity I’ve earned reflects that commitment. Walking my first runway and continuing to grow from there has been a huge personal and professional accomplishment.
What sets me apart is my story and presence. I bring maturity, life experience, and a strong sense of self into every booking. I understand how to embody a brand while still being genuine, and I think that balance is what makes my work stand out.
