Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Agudelo.
Hi Laura, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi everyone. My name is Laura Agudelo. I am 21 years old, a Virgo, and originally from New York. I pursued a sociology degree and worked many jobs throughout the pandemic. I realized I needed to do more for myself; I wanted to do something of substance that provided me stability. I am graduating very soon and will become a Licensed Esthetician here in Jacksonville. I am new to Florida, but I am excited to call this place home!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I used to feel as though the pandemic “ruined” everything, but I now realize that it provided a lot of time for growth. It forced me to have a reality check, and I am proud of the choices I have made since.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am graduating from my program soon and will be a Licensed Esthetician. An Esthetician is a professionally trained technician specializing in skin cleaning, beautification, and maintenance. I learned how important it is to advocate for myself in all aspects of life, especially now that I am getting older and don’t have my parents around. I wish I had started doing this sooner instead of being so codependent on others and not doing things to improve my independent life.
