Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Setzer. He and his team share their story with us below:
Jeremy Setzer is 8 years old and is the owner of 904 Bracelets. “I have never seen Jacksonville bracelets before so I started this business to show how much I love the city. I wanted to offer something where other people could show their support of the city too.
Jacksonville is a growing city with so much to offer. All of the bracelets are made by hand and every bracelet has a cool pattern and a phrase like Jax, 904, Go Jags, and Duval. This business started in the Summer of 2021 and has already sold hundreds of bracelets to people around the city.
People can purchase our bracelets on Instagram (@904bracelets) or at Fig and Willow, Rusted, Heyday (kid bracelets), or Vintage Arts. We are so proud to support our community 20% off all proceeds go to Nemours.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Sometimes we receive bulk orders and making so many can definitely be a challenge for our small businesses. We are so thankful for all the orders though.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I got my business experience from my first business in quarantine which was called Super Mask. I created tie-dyed masks but mainly sold them to family. I wanted a new business that I could sell to our city. I am currently a student at Jacksonville Country Day School (JCDS) and my favorite subject is math and science.
I play flag football. My favorite team is the Jacksonville Jaguars because they are our city’s team! I like reading and playing basketball as well. My favorite TV show is a Shark Tank.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Be confident and believe in your business.
