Diana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Soundbath Jax began serendipitously in 2019 when I found myself at a crossroads. After over 15 years as a successful esthetician specializing in Brazilian bikini waxing, I yearned for deeper fulfillment and a more lasting impact on those I encountered daily.
Seeking clarity, I attended a sound healing session expecting relaxation and insight. Instead, I discovered my true calling. Captivated by the power of sound healing, I followed a series of synchronistic events that illuminated a new path. I completed Levels 1 and 2 of sound healing training in Denver, CO, and returned to Florida not only ready to share this transformative practice but also eager to continue learning. I pursued additional online-based training through various sound healing certification programs to deepen my practice and expand my knowledge.
Initially, I hosted small gatherings for friends and family, but soon recognized Jacksonville’s need for a dedicated sound healing space. This realization led to the opening of The SOMA Collective, Jacksonville Beach’s only dedicated sound healing studio—a space that not only offers sound baths but also welcomes local intuitives and energy workers to share their gifts.
In 2025, identifying a gap in quality in-person training within the community, I launched my first Sound Healing Certification program. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive, hands-on training for aspiring sound healers.
Additionally, I founded The Sound Healers Collective, a group of heart-led practitioners delivering large-scale sound healing experiences across Jacksonville. We’ve hosted sessions in unique and beautiful venues for groups ranging from 80 to 150 participants, making this healing modality more accessible to our community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey hasn’t been without challenges, but I’ve learned that resistance only hinders growth. By embracing the path as it unfolds, I trust that I am divinely protected and guided—a belief that propels me forward as I continue to share the transformative gift of sound healing with as many people as possible in our community and beyond.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I believe what sets me apart is authenticity—not to say that other sound healers aren’t authentic, but I lead from the heart in everything I do. For me, facilitating sound healing should never feel like a job—it’s a passion, a calling, and something I pour my whole self into.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the incredible community that has grown around my Full Moon Oceanside Soundbaths. What started in 2019 with just six of us gathering for fun has evolved into a powerful collective of 150+ people showing up for themselves, for healing, and for each other. Seeing this community grow and continue to embrace the practice is beyond rewarding. It reminds me why I do this work and how powerful it is when we come together in sound and intention.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I wouldn’t necessarily call it luck—it feels more like divine timing. The way sound healing entered my life was definitely unexpected yet perfectly aligned, but more than that, it was meant to be. Every opportunity, every challenge, and every moment of growth has unfolded exactly as it was supposed to. I’ve learned to trust the process, follow the signs, and embrace the journey as it comes. Looking back, I can see that everything aligned in ways I never could have planned—but it all happened at the perfect time.
