Life & Work with Candance Williams of Gainesville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candance Williams.

Hi Candance, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
A brand designed to encourage women while on their spiritual walks; after some moderate success, I decided to take a hiatus to refine and expand my offerings to the CWC community. After assembling my creative team, we relaunched the brand under “Candidly.” Candidly was initially introduced as Chats with Candance.

You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
That said, Candidly is still a work in progress, and every day I find myself having to relinquish my idea of perfection, so I can deliver what the Lord put in my heart for the Candidly community. Having a vision is never a smooth road because work must be consistently done to accomplish the goal. However, I walked by faith and continued to ask God for his wisdom while I created, planned, and debuted.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Candidly is my passion project. It combines my love for Christ, sisterhood, and fashion. This year I have had quite a few triumphs! The most significant is the release of my Candidly Affirmations card set. When I relaunched the brand, there was a small doubt that women would buy into the brand’s new concept, let alone a product. So when I dropped the affirmation cards and sold out in 24 hours. I was in disbelief! That moment will forever be etched in my heart.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
You can’t do it alone when trying to accomplish any goal. You need someone to guide you in the direction you’re looking for. That person for me has been Mary McBride, my social media manager, and content creator. She has been a guiding light, and I am incredibly grateful for her. Additionally, my sister Tambria. My sounding board and my favorite editor. She catches many of the behind-the-scenes where Candidly is concerned, and she helps keep me motivated and on track. This is my team, and I don’t know what to do without them.
