Today we’d like to introduce you to Calvin Hines.

Hi Calvin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Approximately 10 years ago I wanted to start my own business. Worked for a restaurant for 17 years & always wanted my own business. Just was tired of working for someone. I wanted something better out of life. I always had a passion for cars and keeping my own personal cars really clean. I came up with an idea to detail people’s cars. I knew most people were too busy to keep up with their own.

I saw a great market in high-end detailing in other major cities. I knew that I had the dedication to build a mobile service and do well at it. I knew I had the personality to NOT give up. All I needed was time to build a consistent clientele base. Fast forward I left the restaurant industry eventually and furthered my career as a firefighter while still growing my mobile detailing business. Eventually, I was able to hire staff and put out multiple units on the road, and travel all over Florida servicing clients.

We were able to hold a few different certifications to better serve our clients in protection packages for their vehicles. What it took to get in the position I am in today was just like anything you hear. Dedication, staying consistent even when times were rough, missed holidays, sacrificed time away from my family, sleepless nights, and educating myself daily to become a better entrepreneur.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Some of my struggles were balancing time with my family and staying motivated to keep going. Also finding the daily motivation to keep me focused.

We provide a convenient mobile detailing service for customers that want the ease of service to service them while they are busy at any location. We specialize in paint protection and interior detailing. I’m most proud of where my business has come from and how I’m able to provide a consistent income for my employees.

Whether it’s part-time or full. I think what sets me apart is that most people aren’t willing to put in the work to build a business and to wait for success to come.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Favorite book is “The Psychology of money” by Morgan Housel. Reading in my spare time keeps me motivated to achieve my goals in my business & in life in general
