Inspiring Conversations with Terrie Beasley of Shes pressure &Co and Angels of color llc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrie Beasley.

Hi Terrie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began long before I ever became an author, coach, counselor, entrepreneur, or ministry leader. It began with learning how to survive difficult experiences, personal losses, and seasons that could have easily caused me to give up. Over time, I realized that the very things I had endured were not meant to silence me—they were preparing me to help other people heal, grow, and discover their purpose.

Faith has always been the foundation of everything I do. After experiencing abuse, grief, disappointment, and the loss of several close family members, my relationship with God became even more personal. Those seasons taught me compassion, resilience, discernment, and the importance of using my story to encourage others. I began serving in ministry, mentoring women, supporting families, and speaking openly about topics people often suffer through in silence, including trauma, grief, mental health, domestic violence, church hurt, colorism, and the pressure of always being the strong person.

Professionally, my path has been very diverse. I have worked in healthcare, volunteered with the American Red Cross, served military families, and held roles that allowed me to support people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I later became certified in several areas, including life coaching, trauma and grief counseling, spiritual coaching, business coaching, mediation, and other service-based professions. Each experience added another layer to my purpose and helped me better understand how to meet people where they are.

I eventually founded She’s Pressure Movement & Co., a platform created to uplift, educate, inspire, and empower women. What began as a vision has grown into books, magazines, coaching, counseling, speaking, podcasting, community outreach, mentorship, and several business ventures. I also created Angels of Color, which focuses on mental health, family trauma, grief, advocacy, and helping people feel understood rather than judged.

Writing became another major part of my journey. I began using my experiences, faith, and lessons learned to create books that help people heal and move forward. Today, I am a multi-time author and co-author, and several of my projects have become Amazon bestsellers. My books cover topics such as abuse, faith, church hurt, prayer, healing, relationships, purpose, family, and personal transformation. Writing has allowed me to turn pain into purpose and give other people language for what they may not have been able to express themselves.

I am also deeply committed to community service. I have worked with young women in detention centers, supported families affected by cancer, provided care packages, helped feed and clothe people experiencing homelessness, and advocated for women, men, and children facing emotional and mental-health challenges. I believe success should never be measured only by titles, awards, or income. It should also be measured by the lives we touch and the people we help along the way.

Getting to where I am today has not been easy. There were many moments of doubt, grief, fear, and exhaustion. I had to learn how to keep moving forward while healing, how to build while still growing, and how to trust God even when I could not see the full picture. I also had to learn that purpose does not always arrive in a perfect package. Sometimes it is born through pressure, pain, obedience, and perseverance.

Today, I am grateful to be able to serve as a woman of God, wife, mother, grandmother, author, counselor, coach, entrepreneur, advocate, and leader. Every part of my journey has shaped the woman I am now. I do not view my story as being only about me. I believe my testimony is meant to become a blueprint for someone else who needs proof that they can survive, rebuild, and become everything God created them to be.

My mission remains simple: to use my voice, experiences, businesses, books, and platforms to help people heal, recognize their worth, walk in their purpose, and understand that their past does not have to define their future.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. My journey has been filled with challenges, loss, healing, sacrifice, and many moments when I had to keep going even when I felt emotionally, mentally, and spiritually exhausted.

Some of my earliest struggles came from painful childhood experiences, including abuse, rejection, and colorism. Those experiences affected the way I saw myself and forced me to begin a healing journey long before I had the language to explain what I was carrying. As I grew older, I also experienced grief through the loss of my mother, my brothers, and other loved ones. Each loss changed me in a different way and taught me that grief does not follow a schedule. There were seasons when I had to continue being a wife, mother, grandmother, leader, and encourager while privately trying to process my own pain.

Another struggle was learning how to build while healing. Many people see the books, businesses, magazine features, awards, and accomplishments, but they do not always see the late nights, financial sacrifices, disappointments, closed doors, and moments of self-doubt behind them. There were times when I questioned whether I was doing enough, moving fast enough, or reaching enough people. I had to learn that success is not always immediate and that obedience, consistency, and patience are just as important as talent.

I also had to overcome the fear of using my voice. When you have survived trauma, rejection, or being misunderstood, it can be difficult to speak openly and trust that your story will be received with compassion. However, I realized that staying silent would not help the people who needed to hear that healing was possible. I had to stop being ashamed of what I survived and allow my testimony to become part of my purpose.

Balancing family, ministry, business, counseling, writing, community service, and personal healing has also been challenging. I have had to learn that I cannot pour from an empty cup. Setting boundaries, resting without guilt, and accepting support were lessons I had to learn along the way. I was so accustomed to being strong for everyone else that I sometimes forgot that strong people need care too.

There have also been moments when people did not understand my vision or support it. I had to continue building even when the applause was quiet. That taught me not to depend on outside validation and to trust what God placed in my heart.

Although the road has been difficult, I am grateful for every lesson. The struggles developed my compassion, resilience, faith, and determination. They also helped me connect with people on a deeper level because I am not speaking from theory alone; I am speaking from lived experience.

I would never say that I am grateful for the pain itself, but I am grateful that it did not destroy me. It strengthened my purpose and gave me a greater commitment to helping others heal, rebuild, and recognize that their difficult chapters do not have to be the end of their story.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Shes pressure &Co and Angels of color llc?
My business and organization are rooted in one central mission: helping people heal, grow, rebuild, and recognize the purpose God placed inside of them.

I am the founder of She’s Pressure Movement & Co., a faith-based empowerment, media, education, and service platform created to uplift, inspire, encourage, educate, and advocate for women and families. The brand has grown into a multifaceted movement that includes books, magazines, coaching, counseling, mentorship, speaking, podcasting, community outreach, business education, and personal-development resources.

Through She’s Pressure, I specialize in helping people move from pain to purpose. My work often centers on trauma, grief, church hurt, domestic violence, self-worth, emotional healing, personal growth, faith, family challenges, leadership, entrepreneurship, and rebuilding after difficult life experiences. I also provide spiritual coaching, business coaching, grief and trauma support, motivational speaking, mentorship, and educational resources designed to help people become stronger emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and professionally.

One of the things I am most known for is transparency. I do not simply teach from textbooks or theory. I speak from lived experience. I know what it feels like to survive abuse, experience deep loss, rebuild after disappointment, carry responsibilities while grieving, and continue moving forward when life feels overwhelming. That lived experience allows me to connect with people in a way that is honest, compassionate, and practical.

What sets my brand apart is that I do not believe healing and success should be separated. I believe a person can work on their faith, mental and emotional wellness, family, purpose, and business at the same time. My approach addresses the whole person. I am not only interested in helping someone become successful publicly; I want them to be healthy, grounded, confident, and fulfilled privately.

I also believe deeply in collaboration over competition. She’s Pressure is not about one woman being placed above another. It is about creating space for women to use their voices, share their stories, develop their gifts, and support one another. The phrase “Pressure makes diamonds” represents the heart of the brand. Pressure can either break us or develop us, and my mission is to help people understand that what they survived can become part of what strengthens and qualifies them.

Another important part of my work is Angels of Color, an organization focused on understanding the misunderstood. Its purpose is to bring awareness, education, advocacy, and support to people dealing with mental-health challenges, trauma, grief, family pain, and emotional struggles. The mission includes women, men, and children because healing should never be limited to one group.

My media work is also a major part of the brand. Through magazines, interviews, podcasts, books, and social-media platforms, I create opportunities for people to be seen, heard, and celebrated. I am proud to provide platforms where entrepreneurs, authors, advocates, survivors, community leaders, and everyday people can share meaningful stories and reach others who may need encouragement.

I am especially proud of the books and written resources connected to the brand. Writing has allowed me to turn personal experiences into tools for healing and education. My books cover abuse, faith, grief, prayer, relationships, church hurt, purpose, children’s issues, self-worth, and personal transformation. Being able to help readers feel understood through words is one of the greatest honors of my journey.

I am also proud of the community-service side of the brand. I believe a brand should not only look good online; it should make a difference in real life. My work has included mentoring young women, supporting families affected by cancer, providing care packages, helping people experiencing homelessness, advocating for survivors, and offering encouragement and resources to individuals facing difficult seasons.

Brand-wise, I am most proud that She’s Pressure has become more than a name. It has become a message. It reminds women that they can be powerful and still be healing. They can be faithful and still need support. They can be leaders and still have vulnerable moments. They can survive pressure without losing their softness, compassion, or identity.

I want readers to know that my brand is built on faith, service, transparency, education, and genuine care for people. Every offering, whether it is a book, counseling session, speaking engagement, magazine, workshop, podcast, or community initiative, is created with the intention of helping someone move forward.

At the heart of everything I do is this belief: your past does not have to define your future, your pain does not have to be wasted, and your story can become a source of hope for someone else.
