Inspiring Conversations with Sierra Pete of SiVi Tidy Co.™

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Pete.

Hi Sierra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Absolutely. My story isn’t linear—more like a winding, soul-stretching detour that turned pain into purpose.

SiVi Tidy Co.™ started in survival mode. I was a college student juggling three part-time jobs, climbing through burnout and tuition debt, trying to make ends meet. When school became financially impossible, I made the tough call to step away and moved back home to Florida. I started cleaning houses again—just to get by. But what began as income quickly became something deeper. I found peace in cleaning. It was the one thing I could control during a time when everything else felt like it was falling apart.

But something wasn’t right. After repeated exposure to store-bought cleaning products, I had my first-ever seizure. That moment shook me to my core. It was the wake-up call I didn’t know I needed. I realized I couldn’t keep using harsh, chemical-heavy products—and I definitely didn’t want anyone else to risk their health for a clean home either. So I started formulating my own blends—vegan, aromatic, gentle—but still effective. At first, it was just for me and my clients. But word spread, and demand started to grow. People weren’t just asking for clean spaces—they were craving safe, intentional products that felt like care, not compromise.

Then, life hit again. Mental health almost took me out. I had to step away from SiVi for over two years to fight for my life. Depression, anxiety, grief—it all came in waves. But that time away brought me clarity. I came back not just as a founder, but as someone who knows what it’s like to be buried by life, and how powerful a clean, intentional space can be when you’re trying to feel whole again.

Today, SiVi Tidy Co. is more than a cleaning brand—it’s a mental wellness mission. I create eco-conscious, elevated products that help people feel a little better than before. Every scent, every bottle, every step is rooted in care—for your space, your mind, and your tomorrow.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road—and honestly, I don’t think I’d want it to be. The struggles have shaped me just as much as the wins, if not more.

There were moments when I questioned everything—cleaning homes by day, working or studying late into the night, wondering if any of it would ever add up to a life that made sense. When I got sick from repeated exposure to harsh cleaning chemicals and experienced my first-ever seizure, it was terrifying. That moment forced me to rethink everything I thought I knew about what “clean” really meant—and who it was costing.

Then came the mental health spiral. I had to step away from SiVi Tidy Co. for over two years just to survive. I was battling things I didn’t fully have the language for at the time. But in that dark season, something clicked. I realized I wasn’t the only one trying to fight my way through the fog. And maybe—just maybe—SiVi could be part of that fight for someone else, too.

Coming back was hard. Rebuilding from scratch was humbling. But the mission is clearer now than it’s ever been. I’m not doing this to just sell cleaning products. I’m doing this to create a moment of relief in someone’s day—a tool that helps them push through. Even if it’s just spraying the counter or folding a towel, that small win matters. And sometimes, that’s enough to start again tomorrow.

So no, the road hasn’t been smooth. It’s been cracked, bumpy, and uphill most days. But I wouldn’t trade it. Because now I know exactly why I’m building what I’m building and who I am building for.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
SiVi Tidy Co.™ is a vegan cleaning and lifestyle brand rooted in one mission: to make cleaning feel like a small, intentional act of self-care. Our tagline is simple—mental wellness starts with a clean home—but it carries deep weight. Because for so many of us, especially those navigating burnout, stress, or mental health struggles, cleaning can feel like an impossible task. We’re here to change that.

We specialize in plant-powered, aromatic, and elevated cleaning products that are safe, beautifully packaged, and intentionally crafted to help people feel a little better than before. From our fan-favorite “Wipe Me Down” multi-surface spray to our “RizFrizz” pet line and seasonal “Floor Seasoning” carpet freshener, every product is formulated with care—for your health, your home, and your headspace.

But SiVi is more than products on a shelf. It’s a soft place to land. It’s that first deep breath when your space starts to feel manageable again. It’s the push you needed to take one small step—like wiping down the counter or refreshing your room—to break through the mental clutter.

What sets us apart? We don’t just clean for the sake of aesthetics—we clean for healing. We design with empathy. Our packaging is meant to feel warm and affirming, our scents are thoughtfully layered, and we give 2% of profits to organizations doing real work in mental health and humanitarian spaces. We’re not trying to be the biggest—we’re trying to be the most intentional.

What I’m most proud of is that people feel seen when they use our products. We’ve had customers say, “This made cleaning feel doable again,” or “I actually look forward to using this spray.” That’s the win. That’s the whole heart of it.

So if you’re looking for a brand that blends wellness, mindfulness, and cleaning in a way that’s elevated and down to earth—we’re here. And we’d love to tidy with you.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Absolutely. I’m a resource girl through and through—if it helps me think clearer, lead better, or live softer, I’m bookmarking it. For mindset and leadership, two books I always come back to are The Trillion Dollar Coach and Multipliers by Liz Wiseman. Both challenged how I show up as a leader—not just in title, but in presence. They remind me that the most impactful leaders don’t just direct they amplify the people around them.

Faith is also a big part of how I stay grounded. I often start my mornings with quiet prayer, scripture, or journaling no fancy app, just space to hear myself think and hear from God. From a creative and business perspective, I love listening to the How I Built This podcast. Hearing founders talk through their origin stories, pivots, and breakdowns-turned-breakthroughs reminds me I’m not alone in this build-from-scratch life. Side note: I will be on that show one day, so let this be the early manifestation moment.

I’m still learning what works for me in this season. But what helps the most isn’t just tools it’s permission. Permission to pause. Permission to not have it all figured out. And permission to build something meaningful, even if the path looks different than I thought it would.
