Hi Shay, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I opened a holistic consulting company 6 months ago that helps guide people through grief, death, and spirituality. I started my business because I witnessed the struggles of losing loved ones and I saw how much the community needed this type of support. I have a strong background in healthcare and the cannabis industry, in which I gained over 10 years of experience working closely with many different types of doctors. As I started to dive into my own spiritually, I was called to teach others what I know. I started to do my own research to see what options there are other than the traditional ones when it came to funerals and ceremonies. I know there are not many death workers in the world, but I am excited to help the community get more comfortable about talking and dealing with end of life planning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business was intimidating for me, but this is my calling. It took me years of going back and forth on a name, the structure, supplies, and marketing. I still try to seek mentors and ask lots of questions when I meet small business owners, but for the most part I am just letting things flow and conquering obstacles as they come. I understand that my business is a lifelong passion so I am willing to be patient.

I specialize in using herbs like cannabis to deal with tragedies like losing loved ones or making the dying process a little easier. I also use spiritual healing and ceremonies to connect with loved ones on the other side. I am passionate about healing the community and sharing my tools and I believe that sets me apart from other industries or traditional options. I am known for connecting people and showing compassion during difficult times. My experience in the healthcare, business, and cannabis industry has really shaped me for what I do today. I am proud of myself for transitioning and being able to adapt gracefully. I want my readers to know that my services might not make sense now, but when a loved one or pet passes away, many people are not equipped to heal while maintaining their own life. I am here to help balance your healing journey and look at death in a different light.

I define success by making an impact on people’s lives, and being remembered for the small details that make a big difference. Success comes with growth and freedom, and doing what you love, while connecting with other people.
