Karolina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The story is quite simple. Give an immigrant kid from Brooklyn a chance to shine, and she will run with it!
I came to the United States almost 30 years ago, and that culture shock was something I became addicted to. It is a beautiful feeling to arrive somewhere new, taste flavors completely foreign to your palate, and engage with interesting people. I knew that travel had to be a solid part of my life, and therefore a part of my career.
Fast forward 20 years of climbing ladders at various luxury travel companies and Sated Ventures was born! I thank the 2020 furlough period for allowing me to slow down, and reevaluate what direction I want to take my clients.
Marrying my love of food and my passion for well-done travel was a natural next step. Within months, Sated Ventures began taking people around the world to enjoy a taste of that culture shock I so enjoyed years ago.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have to remind myself often: You can do anything, but not everything. Wise words for a woman who stays up all hours creating new experiences and connecting with new chefs around the world to offer that next exciting tour to my guests.
In the past, as I managed larger companies, I had someone to delegate my ideas to. As the founder of Sated Ventures, I get to implement those ideas myself! That has been a challenge – but a refreshing kind of challenge that allowed me to learn a whole new set of skills. That said, we are currently hiring to expand the Sated team.
Hiring is definitely another challenge to tackle!

How does it work? You choose the destination and dates, we create a custom itinerary for you, together we tweak it until it is perfect, and then you are off on your adventure! Private tour means YOUR tour – your own professional local guides, private cars, day tours we handpicked for you, hotels that you prefer, and an overall bespoke experience.

I am Karolina Guilcapi, and I have 20 years of experience in luxury sales. I have traveled to over 40 countries, many of them 4 or 5 times in order to inspect new hotels, meet local chefs, and always improve, learn, and grow. Here at Sated Ventures, we take pride in our luxury products. My past clients have traveled with me year after year because they know the value that I offer. We do not try to be the cheapest – we try to be the best.
We specialize in destinations that need a bit of hand-holding when it comes to logistics. South America is the perfect example – most travelers leave this glorious continent for last, and we believe it should be visited first! Buenos Aires is a magical tango city, Machu Picchu is a must for everyone’s bucket list, Galapagos Islands are a nature lover’s dream. There is an endless list of places we can suggest because we have been there!
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Sated Ventures clients typically have contact with me first – I am their destination expert, their advice giver, and the one to help them build their dream trip. Many do not realize that behind the scenes there is a multitude of wonderful people working on all the logistics. In each country, I have a partner office filled with local experts, passionate guides, drivers who take such good care of my clients.
There are emergency crews available 24/7, inspection teams who update all the changes constantly happening in the travel world, and so many others. We all come together to make these dream trips a reality, especially during these covid times. It is a fantastic puzzle – it makes my day-to-day job such a pleasure.
Of course, lots of credit goes to my family. My husband and two daughters are my biggest critics and my most VIP clients. By joining me on numerous adventures, they have allowed me not only to reevaluate what luxury means to different people but also become an expert in multi-generational travel planning.
