Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Odom
Hi Hannah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I went to cosmetology school right out of high school knowing I’d always wanted to be in the beauty industry but wasn’t fully sure in what capacity, we had one week in school called “spa week” and that for me solidified how much I LOVED skin and treating the skin. After cosmetology school I worked as a hairstylist In blowdry bars and worked on wedding teams helping my clients feel beautiful for all their special events! When Covid hit like most people I was alone with all my thoughts and started really analyzing what it was I wanted to do for the rest of my career – I knew I was happy doing what I did but didn’t see myself doing it till I retired! Shortly after Covid I made the decision to go back to school and receive my Esthetics License and from there I hit the ground running! I opened The Skin Lounge Jax in July of 2022 and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made! My business has grown to what it is today all through endless prayers and bold faith – The Skin Lounge Jax would have never amounted to anything if it wasn’t for the countless prayers that the Lord would provide loyal clients to me. People ask how I got to where I am today with this business and my only answer is “I didn’t do anything to get here it was all God” when I look back on the last 2 and a half years there were plenty of times I wanted to quit because things just felt too hard but God was using those moments to shape and define me into the Woman I have become today and I can’t wait to see how he continues to use this business to shape and mold me into who He is calling me to be.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Most certainly has not been a smooth road – plenty of bumps along the way! Biggest struggle was sticking with it even when I didn’t see the fruit.
God has taught me that with every bump in the road or roadblock I encounter He is using it all to teach me a lesson and for me the biggest lesson of all is just keep pushing forward.. one day at a time!

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I can’t think of one memory in particular but as a child I always remember summers here in Florida – Beach days and Pool days flood my memories and I still find myself counting down the days until summer!
Not much has changed except now your girl is under an umbrella with SPF 50 and a hat that you could spot a mile away!
