Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Taylor
Hi Elizabeth, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my career as a Manager for Curriculum Development at Bank of America. The travel was exciting, and I loved using my strengths—educating, communicating, and building trust. But I had always been passionate about real estate—not in the typical “I love HGTV” way, but in a deeper way. I was fascinated by how homes are built, how they function, and the role they play in people’s lives.
As my career at Bank of America progressed, I realized that while I enjoyed it, my true calling was elsewhere. Homes aren’t just structures; they’re where lives are built and memories are made. To this day, whenever I dream about a place, it’s always my childhood home. That’s how deeply homes shape us.
So, I decided to follow my passion and pursue real estate—but I wanted to do it differently. I’ve never considered myself a salesperson, but I am great at digging deep, uncovering the facts, and educating people so they can make confident decisions. I also have a knack for marketing homes strategically—identifying the right target market and connecting a home with its perfect buyer. That’s what I love about this business, and that’s what’s brought me to where I am today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wish I had a story of overcoming extreme adversity, but honestly, my struggles were more about character growth than hardship (for lack of a better word). I’m an introvert with a very small circle of friends and acquaintances, so when I started in real estate, my trainer didn’t expect me to make it. The dropout rate for realtors is very high—this career is far more challenging than what’s portrayed on reality TV.
I knew that if I wanted to succeed in doing what I love—helping people buy and sell real estate—I had to find a way to meet people. So, I started by hosting open houses. I found that there were buyers and sellers who appreciated what I had to offer: no-pressure guidance, a deep knowledge of the process, and a genuine desire to help them find the right fit. Those open houses led to transactions, which led to referrals, and from there, my business grew.
If I had to name my biggest challenge, it would be learning to enjoy free time when I have fewer clients. I love what I do and always want to be busy helping people. Real estate isn’t just my career—it’s my passion.
As you know, we’re big fans of Elizabeth Taylor Homes. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is Elizabeth Taylor Homes: Homes are Personal.
Although I run a business, real estate is deeply personal for me. I understand the profound impact a home has on our lives—from something as simple as needing a light-filled space to feel your best, to knowing that a half-bath too close to the kitchen might not be ideal when you have teenage boys. Homes are where we feel safe to be ourselves. They are the walls that hold our secrets, our dreams, and our everyday moments.
I see it as my responsibility to help my clients find the home that fits them best—knowing that no home is perfect. My job is to educate them on the pros and cons of each option so they can make the right decision with confidence. Beyond that, I work proactively to remove obstacles before they arise. My clients often tell me that I always seem to be a couple of steps ahead—that’s because I anticipate potential issues and tackle them early, making the process as seamless and stress-free as possible.
My brand is built on trust, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to my clients. When you work with me, you can expect:
✔️ A smooth, stress-free buying or selling experience
✔️ Every detail handled, with clear and consistent communication
✔️ A negotiation strategy tailored to your specific needs
✔️ A lifelong resource—even after closing, I’m here to help with contractor recommendations, real estate documents, homestead tax info, and more
At Elizabeth Taylor Homes, it’s never just about a transaction—it’s about finding the place where life happens.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
One of the things I love most about my career is the opportunity to help others grow their businesses. From my trusted insurance agent to my go-to painter, I refer many, many businesses every day. Lenders, plumbers, caterers, designers—you name it. These trusted partners are an extension of the service I provide, helping my clients find the right people to get the job done.
Likewise, I deeply appreciate when my trusted partners refer clients to me as well. Real estate is a relationship-based business, and the best way to support me is simple: Send me your family and friends. I commit to delivering an excellent real estate experience—one that is seamless, well-communicated, and truly personalized to their needs
