Dyamond Duperval is the founder and principal event and wedding planner of e320 Events.
Dyamond is a wife, mother, and your event planner’s favorite event planner -Dyamond has a passion for predicting unforgettable experiences. She is a native of Washington, DC who settled in Jacksonville, FL as a young girl with her family. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Florida A & M University and a Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. With over a decade of experience in orchestrating seamless and remarkable events, Dyamond’s incredible creativity, keen eye for detail, and exceptional project management skills has led to the successful execution of numerous experiences, ranging from conferences to luxurious weddings. e320 Events is the two-time recipient of the Top Wedding Planners in the 904 for 2025 and 2024. Dyamond is also the recipient of the Best Boss Event Planner Runner Up in 2024 and a proud member of the 2024 cohort of Florida A&M University’s top 40 under 40 graduates.
Her commitment to delivering excellence and ability to tailor each event to her clients’ unique visions have earned her a stellar reputation in the industry and community. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As much fulfillment and autonomy being a business owner brings, the journey isn’t easy. Specifically, for me, as an event planner, I find joy and honor in producing events that allow my clients to dance the night away in peace knowing “I have them covered.” So much responsibility, yet so honorable! So many details, yet so thorough! So many aspects to manage, yet so sharp! So many personalities to professionally balance, yet so patient! Monumental amounts of love I have for this industry, Ideally, I’d love to retire from the industry and leave the business to my legacy. However, the challenges that come as a business owner brings about thoughts of season shifts.
Entrepreneurship has long days while simultaneously wearing many hats. Not so much long days in quantity, but long days on the number of intricacies and responsibilities that comes with it. Often the contracts don’t always compensate for the effort. The networking and additional training doesn’t equate to an immediate profit. With these hurdles in mind comes the idea of returning to Cooperate America or a “regular career.”
The idea of stability is at the forefront of this season shift. The peace of mind of “simply knowing” is tremendously underestimated with traditional employment. Let’s be clear, corporate companies make shifts that can jolt that stability; however, the ebbs and flow of self-employment are far greater. Having set hours, managing YOUR role vs wearing a heap of hats as an entrepreneur, growing with an organization with goals of matriculating up the ladder, and having a “work family” can make the idea of returning to work feel innate.
