The story of COS Celebrations begins with a single note. I have been entwined with music since early childhood, playing piano at my grandmother’s house from the tender age of four. My musical journey continued with the saxophone in middle school, and by high school, I was already performing professionally. These formative years not only honed my musical talents but also planted the seeds for what would become a thriving event entertainment company.
A Passion for Shared Joy
As a saxophonist playing with party and wedding bands, I experienced the joy of contributing to people’s most cherished moments. I found immense satisfaction in being part of the emotional tapestry of weddings and special events. However, I also noticed a troubling trend: many companies seemed more interested in quick paychecks and their ego than in creating unforgettable experiences for their clients. This realization sparked a desire to do things differently and ultimately led to the creation of COS Celebrations.
Building the Dream, Note by Note
Starting COS Celebrations was no small feat. To raise the necessary capital, I performed solo saxophone shows every night and a lot of times, more than one gig a day at restaurants, hotels, and even on the streets of downtown St. Augustine. Surprisingly, busking in the historic town proved more lucrative than many formal venues.
A significant challenge in the early days was the financial risk involved in signing advertising contracts worth over ten thousand dollars. Understanding that building relationships and becoming a preferred vendor takes time, I took a leap of faith, investing in marketing to establish COS Celebrations’ presence in the competitive event industry.

We are parts of many event associations like SAWEA, and I even sit on the board for our local chapter of NACE (National Association for Catering & Events).

Having a mentor has been a huge part of my success. Greg Capozzi, founder of C-Zone Entertainment up in the greater Boston area basically gave me his blueprint for his success and walked me through what he does.
