Inspiring Conversations with Brittany Molina of Brittany and Mindy Salon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Molina.

Hi Brittany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in my mom’s salon, helping her sweep, clean, and fold towels. I completed my cosmetology and high school education and the same time. I got my license and began working behind the chair when I graduated. The whole time I was in school, I was an assistant in a salon, giving me the on-the-job training I needed. I continued my education in New York City at the L’Oréal Preossionel Academy, Vivienne Mackinder Artist to Artist, and extensive hair extension training. I have traveled the world as lead educator for Whirylstyle and presented in China, Germany, Milan, and Brazil. After owning a salon for 16 years, I work in my Salon Suite in Riverside.

Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With more experience, the journey gets easier. The hard times and struggles teach you important life lessons, and through faith and Preserve, all things are possible.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Brittany and Mindy Salon?
I am a hair extension specialist and have been in the business for 33 years. I enjoy transformations, and I am well versed in the many different hair extension techniques and have the option to fit every client’s needs. My work has been featured internationally, and I have had the owner present in countries such as Brazil and Milan. I have several certifications in hair extensions with brands like Great Lengths, Dream Catchers, Remi Cachet, and SHE Hair Extensions. I work in my private suite one-on-one with each guest, providing an intimate personal approach to each visit. I carry luxury hair products to cater to your hair’s every need. I also offer hair color, cutting, keratin, and baylage services.

Networking and finding a mentor can positively impact one’s life and career. Any advice?
Find someone you admire, learn how they did it to become successful, and then make it your own. Networking makes you better at working with like-minded people and helps you grow and develop. After so many years in the business, I’m continuing my education, learning from my peers. There are 31 different stylists in our building, and there is someone always here to inspire and help me grow and be the best I can be.
