Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Lovett.
Hi Brittany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
At five years old, my grandmother would take me to watch Benny Hinn healing services. I didn’t fully understand everything I was witnessing, but I knew one thing for certain, that I was destined to heal. Watching faith restore people planted a seed in me that would shape my entire life. That seed allow me to blossom to love, serve, and heal others.
I attended a Catholic high school that instilled biblical principles, discipline, structure, the fundamentals that education is key. That foundation prepared me to move with focus and intention. At 18, I began college at Rutgers University, graduating in just three years. During college, I joined the Air National Guard to help pay for college and to serve my country.
During college, I shadowed OB/GYNs, neurologists, and pediatricians, exploring different paths in medicine. But podiatry won my heart. I admired its versatility : general podiatry, sports medicine, pediatric care, foot and ankle surgery, and wound care. It allowed me to be versatile and it was the perfect balance of compassion and serving.
At 21, I began medical school at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, fully stepping into the calling I first felt as a child. In 2018, I graduated Womack Army Medical Center as a Foot and Ankle Surgeon, I became deeply committed to caring and healing my patients.
During my Navy service, I had the distinct honor of as serving as a staff podiatrist within the White House Medical Unit. It was a full-circle moment realizing that the little girl who once watched healing services would one day provide care at the highest levels of leadership in our nation.
In 2023, I opened Lovett Foot Care with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, compassionate podiatric care to all patients. I intentionally accept various insurance plans because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to be cared for with excellence and love regardless of their background or coverage. Healthcare should never feel transactional; it should feel personal, respectful, and dignified.
My motto is simple: Walk in with pain, walk out in love.
Balancing motherhood, military service, entrepreneurship, and faith has required resilience. But every challenge has refined me. I don’t just treat feet I help people stand confidently, walk freely, and move forward in their lives pain free. I am proud to say that I an still walking in the destiny that began when I was five years old “the healer”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many minority women in medicine and the military, I faced challenges that weren’t always visible but were deeply felt. (Microtrauma). Being both a woman and a minority in spaces that were not always designed for me meant I often had to work twice as hard to be seen as equally competent. There were moments of being underestimated, overlooked, or questioned not because of my qualifications, but because of perception.
Medical school and surgical training are demanding on their own. Adding military service required discipline, endurance, and mental resilience. There were seasons where I had to prove myself repeatedly in rooms where I was the only woman or the only minority at the table.
Later, becoming a single mother while continuing to grow in my career brought a different kind of challenge. Balancing motherhood, surgical practice, military service, and entrepreneurship required intentionality and sacrifice. There were long nights, early mornings, and moments of exhaustion but never a moment where I doubted my calling.
Through it all, I remained committed to excellence. I chose not to let adversity make me bitter it made me better. It sharpened my leadership, deepened my compassion, and strengthened my faith. Today, I stand not only as a successful Podiatrist, entrepreneur, but as a mother who has shown her children what perseverance looks like.
My journey hasn’t been without obstacles but every obstacle refined me into the doctor, leader, and woman I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Lovett Foot Care, I specialize in podiatric medicine including heel pain, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, pediatric foot conditions, diabetic neuropathy, ingrown toenails, and overall foot and skin healthcare . I also offer innovative treatments such as radial shockwave therapy to help patients heal naturally and return to activity with minimal downtime.
But what truly sets me apart isn’t just the procedures it’s the commitment.
My brand is built on one promise: Walk in with pain, walk out in love. Every patient or as I call them, my SoleMates is treated with love, compassion, and clinical excellence. I intentionally accept a variety of insurance plans because I believe high-quality care should be accessible. Healthcare should feel personal, not transactional.
One of the sacrifices I’ve made as a business owner is remaining open on select Saturdays. As a single mother, Naval officer, and surgeon, that time is precious. But I know many of my patients cannot afford to miss work or pull their children out of school for appointments. Being available on Saturdays is my way of meeting people where they are. It reflects my belief that service sometimes requires sacrifice.
I’m most proud that Lovett Foot Care reflects who I am at my core disciplined, faith-driven, and committed to excellence. From serving in uniform to serving in the exam room, my calling has always been the same: to heal.
Lovett Foot Care is more than a clinic. It’s a place where patients feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t quit, Success requires discipline long before it requires recognition. Stay focused on your purpose, There will be seasons where you are underestimated, fatigue, or discouraged, but let that fuel your preparation, not your insecurity. Build resilience early, because talent alone is never enough. Most importantly, remain rooted in integrity and faith who you become on the journey matters more than any title you earn.
