Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyce Gresham.
Hi Alyce, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up in a home where my mom was always hustling with businesses, from a clothing line that produced collegiate clothing for colleges in the south to a successful home daycare for several years, the business aspect has never been foreign to me. My mom loves to tell people that I was 5 years old, popping out from under the table at craft shows, scaring people with a “How may I help you?” and a smile. At first, I felt a bit embarrassed about thrifting, but as I started dressing in outfits that made me feel confident and helped me through tough times, something magical happened – I became a beacon of inspiration for others. This journey led me to embrace my passion for thrifting and fashion fully, and today, I’m all about spreading the joy of self-expression through affordable and sustainable means and encouraging women to do the same.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Navigating my journey hasn’t been a walk in the park; it’s been a rollercoaster ride with twists and turns. Consistency has been a significant hurdle, and oh, the imposter syndrome! There have been days when I’ve felt like I’m just faking it and don’t belong where I am. But through it all, I’ve learned to be kind to myself, to keep pushing forward, and to lean on the encouragement of friends and supporters who believe in me.

One surprising thing that many people might not know about me is that I deeply love my city. While it may not have always been this way, I’ve discovered a profound connection to my community and a sense of purpose over the past two years. Despite appearing confident in public settings, some may not realize that I often struggle with self-doubt and feelings of being out of place. I tend to overthink and analyze situations, but I’ve learned to push through these challenges and continue pursuing my passions and goals.
